Amazing Island Breeze getaway

Walking into the property , the first thing I noticed is how beautiful it is. The overall cleanliness of the property was also very impressive. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed for my birthday staycation. There were books with information on recommendations for food delivery if needed as well as easy access to WiFi. Pet friendly is a bonus because our fur baby had the best time. What a beautiful dock and peaceful way to start your day as the sun rises and sets. We will definitely be back. Thank you Nikki!

Midnight Cancellation

I would love to be able to leave a detailed review of this home. I planned on spending a long weekend here with my husband, father, in-laws, and our dogs to celebrate birthdays and go see a concert. Just before midnight on the day before our stay, the host nikki sent me a text offering me early check in at another property. The property was 2 bed 2 bath and would not work for my family. I told her no thank you, we would take the 4pm check in at our originally booked home. Only then did she tell me that the owners were refusing to vacate the home for our stay and we were being canceled. I immediately contacted VRBO as I was in disbelief that something like this could happen. It was devastating. I had booked months ahead of time to spend quality time with my family. VRBO had no other available homes to match our needs and offered nothing for our trouble. I knew it was a risk to book a home without established rental history, but I didn’t dream I would be canceled at midnight the night before we were set to arrive. Book with caution.

Great Location!!!

This house is really near EVERYTHING! CVS, Publix Grocery story, Gas stations, Walmart Market all within a minute or 2 drive. The outside area was large and offered a quiet private area to hang out by the pool, plenty of shaded areas along with sunny areas. There were pool rafts, toys, yard games, and beach chairs also made available. Pool temperature was truly perfect! Cooling enough in the day but warm enough at night to swim and not be cold. They are also building a large outdoor grill/kitchen area with a TV, sink, grill and mini fridge, though it was not completed for our visit I'm sure it will be a great addition to their outdoor covered area. The beds were very comfy, large Kitchen had everything we needed, big dining room table and comfy couch. Beach was less than 5 minute drive. Pompano Beach Pier area was so nice, and there are life guard stations along the beach. Our favorite place to eat was Lucky Fish but there are plenty more options, pier is free to enjoy. We also enjoyed the Lauderdale-By-The-Sea area though that pier is shut down and half missing. Butterfly World was only about 15 minutes away and a nice way to spend the morning. Neighborhood was very nice and quiet and lots of Iguana's to chase around. The best part is so much room to explore the canals from the sea wall on both sides of the house and down the street as the canal side has no homes. Would recommend this for a family looking for some privacy but still close to everything!
