Steps to the Beach and a Stroll to Fort Lauderdale Nightlife

Our house is located on a private cul-de-sac street that is only 50 meters from the Fort Lauderdale Beach. Highway A1A (our cross-street) is the primary, ocean road that runs from Miami north thru Fort Lauderdale to Palm Beach. Fort Lauderdale's primary nightlife and beach-front restaurants are only a 2 kilometer (1+ mile) walk/drive from our street. The famous Galleria Mall with exclusive stores is a 1 mile drive while Sawgrass Mall with hundreds of outlet stores is 30 minutes away. Supermarkets, movie theaters, golf, restaurants, and nightlife are all short drives from our house while Downtown Fort Lauderdale/Las Olas Boulevard is a great venue for art stores, boutiques, nightlife, and high-end restaurants. Boating/fishing excursions, jet skiing, and parasailing are all offered nearby on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The port for the major cruise lines out of Fort Lauderdale is a 10 minute drive while the Fort Lauderdale International Airport is a short 15 minute drive from our house.


Household Amenities: Our house has a few extra amenities for both children and adults. There is a removable safety fence encircling the pool to prevent accidents for small children. A very important safety feature that allows children to play in the backyard without fear they accidentally fall into the pool. We also have a wide array of children's toys, children's books, board games and card games as well as a Playstation for video games.

There is jogging down the beach or biking in the Nature Park located directly behind our street as well as swimming in the Ocean or our pool.

Great communication with the host, well stocked kitchen, wonderful spaces to spread out in the house, fabulous very private pool area. Our only limitations were no ice maker and markings for the stove top burners had worn away which made stove top cooking abit of trial and error. Location is 5 star wonderful!

This stay was great! Excellent location -- we enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, and a short walk north or south to restaurants, bars, and shops. Safe neighborhood. The house was well setup and well-stocked. Beds and couches are comfortable. Lots of cozy areas to relax in. We appreciated the Florida room when one friend was beset by mosquitoes. Loved that we had a full kitchen. Loved that everything was easy to use, easy to find, and worked. The pool and pool deck area were a nice treat. All our guests enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!

The locations is absolutely amazing! A couple houses from the beach. We stayed in the water for hours relaxing, it felt so good. The host accommodated both an EARLY checkin and a LATE checkout. This was SO helpful because of our flight schedule. The host was very good at communicating. I will come back here next time I’m in Fort Lauderdale.

Fantastic stay

Just steps from Fort Lauderdale beach!!! The pool is AMAZING. The owner contact me a couple of time just to make sure my stay was perfect (and it was!). Check in AWESOME and very well equipped. The house may need a little TLC.

Great location, one block to the beach. Safe neighborhood, great back yard with heated pool. Host was very responsive. Beach gear (wagon, chairs, umbrellas, etc) were available. There were more than enough beds and living space for all of us. Outdoor space was great. We’d stay again!

This property's location was perfect - just a few minutes from the beach, and about 10 minute walk to a plaza with some restaurants and stores. Also, the host was very polite and responsive. And the house was large, enough space for everyone and comfortable in terms of beds/accommodations. However, the property is pretty dated - I did not realize it from looking at the photos. It was also not cleaned well. The kitchen sink/hose was not working properly, and the stove was difficult to navigate as most of the touch buttons were erased. The vents were very dusty, which resulted in sneezing and coughing, looks like whoever cleans the house should do a much better job. Kitchen supplies could be better - all knives were pretty much dull and hard to use, but I ended up buying some, so it was manageable. The beach supplies were old/broken/missing but the landlord did offer to reimburse us (and he did) for buying beach supplies, it's just one doesn't want to spend time shopping for beach supplies when on vacation. There were only two lounge chairs by the pool area (the comfortable ones to actually lay on by the pool). But overall, it was a good experience. There are no smart TV's in the house (I thought there was one in the living room, but it wasn't). I would give it 3.5 stars, but VRBO didn't give me that option so that's why I gave it 3 stars.

Great Location and Ample Space!

Girls trip! Loved the proximity to the beach and private (heated!) pool. There was ample space for each of us to lounge, eat and sleep. Home was clean and the owner was very responsive and friendly. Only thing to possibly note is the home could use some updates. But, overall, a nice find and I would return!

A1A Beachfront Avenue

This VRBO was only steps from the beach and during March break the location was perfect, close to amenities (a lovely little French café Nanous) but far enough from the spring break chaos. The beach was great and safe for the kids to move to and from the beach and house without concern. We rented a car and it was an easy drive up Sunrise blvd to get to a Publix or the huge Sawgrass outlet mall. The house was dated but clean and well kept. The back years had a great pool and was an oasis. Craig the owner was very responsive and check in was a breeze. Highly recommend this VRBO.

Highly recommend!!

We completely enjoyed our stay while we were in Fort Lauderdale. The house is in a great location, so close to the beautiful beach, plus the private pool was perfect when we just wanted to relax at the house. The home has multiple seating areas giving plenty of space to stretch out – and the house was very clean! Check in and check out were super easy and Craig is a wonderful host. We had a great time and hope to return for another visit soon!

Great stay!

Craig was super informative and helpful. Our flight arrived very early, and they let us check in early. The house itself is super close to the beach and equipped with a pool. The safety fence was perfect for our kids. The house had so many kid items, it made our stay much more enjoyable. The house also has a large office off the master, which we used as an extra bedroom for one of our kids. We would definitely stay here again!

Property Close to the Beach
