The lobby was beautifully designed. The room was spacious but not very inviting. It seemed like a place that you would only spend one or two nights. The view of the sky was amazing. Got to see an awesome sunrise. The bed was very comfortable.

Room was very clean and the associates that checked me in were super nice as well as the lady that checked me out. The only problem was the lady putting out the breakfast needs to smile a little more and greet customers. Other than that everything was amazing , I will definitely stay again.

I requested a late check out. The night attendant told me noon was the latest I could get. I was fine with this. The next morning I at 11:15am the housekeeper knocked once and opened the door without me even having time to get to door. Thankfully, the deadbolt was on the door or she would’ve caught me getting out of the shower. Then about five minutes later someone again knocked at my door. So I asked who was it. And on the other side of the door, someone yelled at me to open the door now. I was not dressed, so I said I’m sorry I’m not dressed. I’m not doing that and then she informed me that checkout was at 11 and then I needed to leave. I informed her that I’ve already spoken to the night attendant and she told me I could leave at 12 and that’s exactly what I was going to be doing. Obviously the night attendant did not put in my request which is on her and I was treated very rudely by whoever was knocking at my door and it’s unacceptable for the maid to knock one time and then open the door without giving someone a chance to even get to the door. Horrible service would not recommend.

Overall, the property is decent. The breakfast offered a good variety of items to select from. They have fresh coffee available 24/7. Although the room was decent, the telephone did not work, our shower was outlined with black mildew stains and the message was not conveyed to housekeeping that we had a late checkout, so they burst into the room, unannounced.

I stayed at the Avid Hotel Fort Worth–Fossil Creek on December 5th, and what happened during my stay was extremely disturbing and unacceptable. On the second day, while I was at work, my girlfriend called me and said that a man entered our room without permission and told her to “check out.” She was sleeping at the time and not fully dressed, which made this intrusion extremely uncomfortable and frightening. She only vaguely saw someone standing next to the bed. When I rushed to the hotel, the front desk staff immediately said it was “probably housekeeping” without checking any security footage. This explanation made no sense because the person did not ask about cleaning services — he only told her to check out. They later said they would review the security footage and asked us to return in an hour. However, the only thing they provided was a very blurry and unrecognizable photo, offering no real information about who entered our room. When I went back the next day to request more details, the hotel refused to provide any additional information. Instead, they told us that if we didn’t want to stay, we could check out and they would refund that day — which felt like they simply wanted to avoid dealing with the issue rather than ensuring guest safety. A staff member who appeared to be a manager also refused to provide the actual manager’s name, saying the manager was “in Houston.” The lack of transparency was alarming. This was a serious violation of privacy and security
