Whispering Pines Retreat in the Smokies

Nestled in the trees, but just above the blacktop road for easy access, this comfortable home is just minutes from town yet quietly located in a rural area.

Featuring knotty pine floors and a sofa bed in the living area.

Both bedrooms feature queen size beds with an additional TV in one bedroom. Satellite TV and internet service are included. Linens and towels are provided along with a fully equipped kitchen, including microwave, toaster, coffeepot(s) and all the dishes and cookware you should need. There is also a propane grill for outdoor cooking.

Enjoy your visit in air-conditioned comfort or enjoy the spacious porch or sitting at the firepit. For cooler seasons, there is a gas log fireplace to keep you cozy at the touch of a button.

There is also a washer and dryer for your convenience.

Pets are welcome. (Additional fee.)

Rustic charm

We loved our stay at whispering pines. Loved the quietness of the area, the fire pit, the back porch, and the ability to take our Golden fur child. I could not have asked for any better. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the area and are looking forward to returning in the future.

Winter Getaway

Hidden gem

Owner was super accommodating to us and our service dog. Beautiful cabin away for the crowds but close to everything you need. The fall leaves were falling and someone came by and even blew off the porches and fire pit areas.

Great location. Although we spent little time in the cabin, it was all we could have asked for.

Cabin was very nice, great area close to all we cared to do. Drank our coffee on the balcony/deck each morning. We had a great time and really enjoyed the weather.

Cozy Quiet Cabin

This is a quiet cozy little cabin. Smooth check in and out process. The cabin was very clean. We liked the fact that it was close to main roads for the purpose of motorcycling. Would stay again if in area.

Loved The Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Extra touches (tree, lights, etc...) were appreciated for the Holidays. The large deck and fire pit area were extremely nice too. Finally, the owner was very responsive as we readied ourselves for a couple of days with wind chills in the minus teens.

Great Cabin and Location

This was a great cabin for our small family of four! It was very clean, and had everything that we needed! We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit with comfortable seating around it, as well as spending time around the gas fireplace indoors while relaxing there. Highly recommend this place! We enjoyed the 10 days we spent in Franklin. The cabin was comfortable. Victoria was helpful with the only big problem we had with the heat as when we arrived it was about 28 degrees. The road in front if the cabin is quiet most of the time. Wildlife all over the area near the cabin. We would stay there again. Thank you for being great hosts and making our stay memorable.

Great escape!

This property was perfect for us! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived! We loved the fire pit, and grill. The inside was super cozy with extra blankets for the couch and plenty of pillows for snuggling. It is also in a good location for all the things we like to do in Franklin/Highlands/Cashiers NC. Our Nature Retreat

Whispering Pines Retreat was a quiet and peaceful stay. The cabin was clean and fully stocked for cooking, laundry and extra care items. The beds were beyond comfy and waking up to coffee on the porch was a great way to start the day. My family got to enjoy nature and be with-in minutes drive to town and other activities.
