Girlfriends weekend!!
Technically 3 girlfriends & I "worked" a wedding that was happening onsite at the Carolina Manor House; we all do wedding flowers together, we knew the bride (friends before she booked us for her wedding), & the venue was over an hour from the flower studio, so we figured this would be a fun excuse to go work, hang out, take down the wedding, then NOT drive home after. Brilliant plan, only overshadowed by the delightfulness of this gorgeous little treehouse!They (there's 4 separate treehouses lined up next to each other, but definitely separate) overlook a lovely firepit at ground level, then just a few steps up and you're standing on a gorgeous deck with adirondack chairs and rocking chairs, looking out over the gorgeous lawn next to the manor house.Inside is surprisingly spacious, comfy bed with on-brand woodsy bedding, real cedar shakes lining the upper wall bringing that glorious aroma throughout the space. There's a faux-leather couch and coffee table, deceivingly deep "mini" fridge, tv mounted on the wall, and a beautiful bathroom with a spacious shower. The couch pulls out to a sleeper, and I'm old enough that I cannot sleep on a traditional sleeper couch, but this was not that. I think the mattress was memory foam, and there was no sensation of that terrible cross bar or the sagging that often accompanies that bar.We walked to downtown Franklinton for yummy tacos & strolled the cute downtown; then the local coffeeshop in the morning before check out!!
