Spotless room, extremely luxurious, comfortable beds. Beautiful hotel right on Main Street. Within walking distance to everything you would want to do in Fredericksburg. We did not try The Restaurant, but we did enjoy coffee and pastries at the Pharmacy. Courteous staff.

The room was great, the only things that were not spot on was the room above sounded like kids running and jumping like wild animals. The other thing that hurt the experience were other guests smoking marijuana in the corridors, which was noticeable the minute I stepped out of the room.

The room was spotless. Howver, it had a few things i just would not expect for a $350 per night room. I understand the minimalist design but the bedside "tabkes" which are not tables but a shelf that is probably only a foot aff tge floor and very impractical. Its such a long reach to put a glass of water on i nearly fell out of bed in the middle of the night trying to get a drink of water. The is no coffee maker in the room. The morning room service menu states drip coff is complimentary but since we didnt leave it hanging on the door, when we called room service for coffee ithere eas a $17 charge. The sunken king room was interesting, and it was okay. The front staff, at one instance, was not real pleasureful. She was checking us in and had a phone call...answered the call and talked without finishing our check in..thought that was pretty rude, she could have just said "could you please hold a minute". The location was great!!

Overall this hotel was nice not the best but ok, the main let down for the property which i believe expedia should be aware of and specify when offering this property is that they will ask for a credit /debit card at check in and they will place a hold for $150 deposit which is reasonable for the stay but what they dont tell you is that they will hold $150/night of your stay. I find that a bit ridiculous and something I have never been required anywhere else. At the end of the day it is their property and policies although it would be nice to be made aware of beforehand. Other than that they could use more elevators throughout the property and at least a refrigerator and a coffee maker in the room. Again property is very nice and very convenient as far as location in town.

Very courteous staff in all areas. Convenient helpful valet. Nice patient front desk staff. Great bar and restaurant. Grandchildren loved the food as did we. Try the huge pancake! Beautiful lobby seating areas. Wonderful very comfortable rooms …. except for the lighting. We had a group of 13 family members and all our rooms needed additional lighting. A few well placed sconces would be helpful.
