Livery Stable During the civil war period the Livery Stable was used as the "livery" for the Confederacy in Paducah, Kentucky. Built above ground this 2 bedroom log cabin has been completely restored and is the perfect place for a romantic stay for two or a fun filled getaway with friends or family. If Rustic charm with modern amenities is what you are looking for Livery stable is the perfect place for you! If you have a larger group of up to six you can rent Livery stable and Grist mill log cabin together. Located right next door to Mr. Gatti's.

- Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.
2nd Offense will result in a $500 fine.
If police are called, you are responsible for any fines or fees issued with the citation or warning. If police are called there will be a $500 fine, even if no citation is issued.

The property is located in the parking lot of a Mr. Gatti's pizza place. There wasn't noise from the pizza place but if you like to sleep in a dark room, this property isn't great for that. There are no black out curtains or shades on the windows, just sheer curtains. The lights from the parking lot keep the bedrooms bright. The SPCA is located mere feet from the property and when the dogs are let out in the morning they bark constantly for a few hours. It is also located right off the highway so the road noise is constant. I recommend bringing a box fan to drown out the noise for sleeping. The refrigerator is very small and has no freezer so if you want ice, you need to bring it with you and have a cooler handy for it. The beds were both very firm, so if that is a problem for you, you might want to rethink this location. The Livery is located near town and is very conveniently located near downtown Fredericksburg and a 20-30 minute drive from the local wineries. The bathroom was great! The tub was wonderful and the water stayed hot!

The stable was a perfect location to be out of town but yet close enough to downtown. It was very clean and cozy. For a weekend get away it had what one would need. The 2 bedroom was spacious enough if there was another couple. Check in and check out very easy. Great pizza buffet in the shared parking lot.

We really liked the rustic charm of the cabin. But I would say the property around was not well kept. The grounds around the cabin did not look like the pictures online. There was not a tv in any of the bedrooms which my boyfriend and I like to watch tv before bed. The internet was not very good, we had a little bit of difficulty in getting the tv programs to stream and the Netflix was in another language. I did love the jetted tub and the master bed was very comfortable. The cabin was clean and the host was great!

The interior of this place is wonderful. Comfortable rooms with quaint decor. Wi-fi is good. Both bedrooms are very nice. Could use some maintenance. Burnt out light bulb in the bath, two door handles that fall apart. The only real drawback is the location. Right next to Hwy 16. Inside is quiet, but if you want to sit outside, the road noise is pretty bad.

Fluffy towels, a hot tub and a comfortable bed made our stay enjoyable. Guests need to be aware that there are 15 stairs to haul luggage up - not a problem for us but could be for others. We liked having Lady Bird Park so close for great pickleball mornings. Noisy highway traffic may bother some but we were ok with it. The pizza place has great pizza but you are a few miles from other options for food and shopping. Note that you will need a cooler full of ice ans there is only a dorm fridge and there are no options but a toaster and microwave for food prep. The deck is nice for sitting outdoors. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others for a short stay. Our host was very responsive when our coffee maker broke and immediately replaced it that same day.

Comfortable and Convenient

Although there was a king bed in the room attached to the bathroom, I stayed in the room with the queen bed because it overlooked the lovely little garden. The location was close enough to downtown Fredericksburg that it inky took a few minutes to get there, but it was far enough out to avoid the hassle. Everything was very comfortable.

Loved the unique decor. Having 2 bedrooms was great. Very quiet despite being on a busy highway. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the outside deck.and unlike other rentals, the owner provide little amenities such as coffee, creamer, shampoo & and other things. Easy drive to shopping & other activities. Great place for this mom & daughter team to have fun and relax!

Great location, grocery store close by and shopping close too. Needs a good dusting, iron rail on back balcony was not attached to house. Scary moment when we leaned on railing. Never mentioned the steep steps up to the door. All in all, this couldn’t be cuter, convenient and great for pictures. I would stay here again but would ask some questions first.
