Summary:
Lucinda is a travel trailer converted into a luxury accommodation/guesthouse that provides a private and cozy spot to spend a memorable getaway to the Texas Hill Country. Surrounded by vast acres of open countryside and the friendly community of Gladheart, you’ll love the authentic glamping experience combined with all the comforts of home at Lucinda. She’s a unique and remarkable place to spend your next romantic escape for two.

The Space:
Although a compact space, Lucinda is thoughtfully designed and decorated so she feels spacious and luxurious. On one side of the guesthouse is a comfortable living area, complete with a soft loveseat, ottoman, side chair, and even a brick fireplace. Above the fireplace is a large HDTV— perfect for binge-watching your favorite TV show or hosting a movie night with that special someone.

A small galley kitchenette has a range, refrigerator, sink, and microwave all surrounded by chic black cabinets. There’s a kitchen table with seating for four as well. On the opposite side of the guesthouse is a coffee station with a high-end coffee maker. Lucinda also includes a charming bedroom area with a full-size, memory foam mattress. The bathroom includes a full step-in shower.

Surrounding Lucinda is a custom deck space that includes plenty of seating. You’ll want to work on your tan out here, sip your morning coffee, or host a happy hour with some locally sourced wine. There’s a barbecue for grilling some juicy burgers and a picnic table for dining alfresco under the stars.

The deck also includes a sunken hot tub that’s just perfect for soothing sore muscles after a day spent horseback riding or hiking the nearby trails. Two Adirondack chairs surround the stone fire pit, which is a great place to kick back after dinner.

Just minutes from downtown Fredericksburg and close to the shores of the sparkling Pedernales River, Lucinda is tucked away in the quiet community of Gladheart. You’ll feel like you’ve discovered a secluded hidden space in the gorgeous Texas Hill Country, yet you’ll never be more than a few minutes away from local shopping and dining options.
The Gladheart compound includes a super-fun clubhouse/game room with a pool table, ping pong table, card tables, darts, and a jukebox. Outside you’ll also have access to picnic tables, shuffleboard, and horseshoes. When you’re ready for an afternoon antiquing adventure or a night on the town at a local watering hole, the fun of Fredericksburg is a quick ten-minute drive away.

-In Texas, there are periods of time without significant rainfall causing the county of Gillespie to place a ban on burning. Please check the current burn ban status, before using the fire pit at a Fredericksburg area vacation rental.

-Place all trash in designated containers.
- Please be aware that the Texas Hill Country can experience high heat and drought during the summer, which can attract pests to the exterior lights at night. Our properties receive extermination, but guests may encounter pests such as cockroaches, mosquitoes, flies, Rolly Pollies (pill bugs), June bugs, small ants, and spiders, as well as occasional scorpions and small rodents. These are normal critters that come regardless of cleanliness or availability of food.

Guest Access:
✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $53.00 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
