We have stayed at Absolute Charm Main Street Retreat many times and we keep coming back. The rooms are clean and well appointed and very comfortable. The location is great. Walkable but yet a little distance to feel relaxed and quiet. Will keep coming back.

In Fredericksburg for the eclipse

Overall, our stay was very nice. We enjoyed the pool area for the eclipse. Problems,the Wi-Fi was very poor. The toilet ran after flushing. The suitcase stand was broken. There were broken cups in the cupboard, as if the glassware and dishes were not checked often. Hosts were responsive to our concerns and sent assistance to our room very quickly. My husband fixed the toilet, the suitcase stand worked well enough during our stay and Wi-Fi was said to be poor due to event in town.

We enjoyed our stay at the Pensive Parakeet. We had everything we needed, the bed was super comfy, and the location at the edge of town was perfect. We'll definitely consider this property for our next trip.

The property and neighborhood great. Loved the cottage we stayed in. Impressive bathroom and shower. Bed was comfortable! Only one issue someone left their undies in the recliner and I guess housekeeping didn’t notice. Would stay again.

Proposal trip

Nice cottage at the end of Main Street

These little cottages are great, clean, well kept and at the end of Main Street. I would not consider them walking distance from part of Main Street that contains all the shops and dining. We drove to the center part of main and walked from where we parked. Otherwise it is a great place. The road noise is noticeable at certain times, but it is right on main so it is expected but to my wife and me, it did not detract from our stay. We have recommended this place to friends and family as a definite place to try when they visit.

Lovely place to stay!

The property was well kept and room was easily accessible. Check in was a breeze. The room was spacious and just want we needed for a quick weekend trip. I'm a stickler for cleanliness and it met my expectations. The king bed was very comfy, nice picture on the TV and the little kitchen are with the Keurig, microwave and fridge was great. The bathroom was large, I really liked the separate his and hers vanities. The glass french doors into the restroom eliminates any privacy, though. A bit awkward....Overall, we would for sure come back and recommend this location to friends and family. Very charming and cozy.

It was a bit of a walk from town but that’s ok. The grounds could use a little spring cleaning. The room was great and the pool/ hot tub were amazing.
