Willkommen to our romantic B&B in the Texas Wine Country.

Embedded in a nice garden setting, the four cottages Rapunzel, Rumpelstilzchen, Schneewittchen and Aschenputtel are reminders of old Germanic dwellings from the early middle ages.
Each cottage has a cozy living room, a kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and another bedroom in the loft.
You can relax at the pond, feed the goldfish and listen to the frogs chanting to the sound of the waterfall.
Sip a glass of wine on the small patio in front of the cottages or on the big patio next to the main house.
Enjoy a fire in the fire pit in the back of the property by the creek or in the gorgeous fireplace at the big patio.
If you are restless or hungry, a 10 minute drive carries you to Fredericksburg with all it's shopping and activities.
With 15 wineries within a three miles radius this is the perfect starting point for your wine tour. Upon returning you'll realize, you are close enough to Luckenbach to hear their concerts.
And you can look forward to a rich, hearty German breakfast every morning served by the German innkeepers.

Our stay at Rapunzel’s Cottage was a dream come true! The German fairytale architecture immediately sets the scene, and inside, Barbara’s beautiful fairy paintings add such a magical, personal touch. We were worried about the freezing temperatures, but we stayed perfectly cozy and warm.The daily breakfasts were a wonderful surprise—the grape tomatoes were so sweet and amazing! We also loved the whimsical beads hanging from the trees in the woods. One of the highlights was the communal fire pit; it was so fun meeting neighbors from the other cottages. Henry is a fantastic storyteller, and his tales of adventures and inventions kept us thoroughly entertained under the stars. We plan on coming back every season!

Idyllic and cozy property! Wish I could have stayed longer, but was just in one night to celebrate a friend's birthday. Location coul d not be better, halfway between Hye and Fredericksburg. Owner greeted us graciuously and his wife prepared the most delicious breakfast. Look forward to another visit.

Whimsical get away

This was a great weekend getaway with a friend. We enjoyed starting our day eating the provided breakfast on the front porch and watching the wildlife in the enchanting garden. The cottage was as described and an easy drive to wineries. Henry and Barbara are welcoming hosts.

Absolutely Amazing!

This place is really unique and a great place to stay. The rapunzel cottages are well designed and decorated. The owner is very friendly and responsive. The grounds have lots of interesting things like hammocks, frog pond and LED lights that make it a magical place. They provide a free bottle of wine and an amazing breakfast of meats cheeses yoghurts and other goodies. We will definitely be back!

We walked into a fairytale

My mother and I traveled to Fredericksburg for a friend's wedding. When we arrived Henry greeted us and took us to our cottage. We were pleasantly surprised that our stay included a bottle of wine and snacks. Although our visit was for under 24 hours. We arrived on Easter Saturday and departed on Easter Sunday our time at the cottage was delightful. From every carefully curated detail in the space to the breakfast the morning. I think my favorite item was the Sirius Radio. When my mother and I returned from the wedding. We enjoyed the wine while listening to Frank Sinatra. We walked into a fairytale and we can't wait to return with our family!

Enchanting Stay

This property really is magical! It's like staying in a dollhouse or a fairy tale. My mom and I spent Mother's Day weekend here and very much enjoyed the adorable cottage, and sitting on the front porch watching the ducks during the day and listening to the frogs at night. The property owner showed us around when we arrived and stopped by to check on us while we sat on the porch one night. We loved the breakfast that was delivered to the cottage each morning. We will definitely stay again!

These small cottages are very comfortable and the property itself has so many places to relax and enjoy the weather. It feels secluded and private, but is convenient to lots of places. Breakfast was delicious and we had everything we wanted or needed. The hospitality made for an excellent weekend getaway!

Cozy cabins well suited for a couple

This property is so cute. There are two small cabins that are perfect for a couple with one child. The upstairs part is very small and would be good for a child. The owners were so nice and our light breakfast was good! If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, I would definitely recommend this place.
