Great staff and a nice and clean room. The island is great for hiking og training. We also had long swims in the fjord.

A not so lovely get away

The tom was ok. Below normal hotel standard. The “spa” area had som sort of bug or flea, so we had to leave the pool. Our room was on the second floor, and the people on the first floor were smoking at the smell came straight into our room. Also we could hear absolutely everything they said. We ordered one beer and one chocolate. By chech out the bill was on 200 kr. A ridiculous amount for a drink and piece of chocolate. Also there were extra costs on the ferry and for parking by the ferry. The parking cost is a lot more expensive than what the hotel says on their website. Norway is beautiful, and the cost is beautiful. I would recommend staying somewhere else than hankø.

Overall a nice spot with a few concerns.

The place was nice overall but future guests need to be informed a few key items. The boat shuttle needed to get to the island charges for each trip taken, the parking next to the dock costs, we were told there was laundry services but they had none and the mattresses on the beds were very thin and a bit uncomfortable.

Vi sjekker inn på Hankø Hotell samme dag som spisesalen brant. Personalet snudde seg rundt, vi fikk sjekke inn og det ble ordnet frokost i bar/anner spiseområdet. Vi hadde et utmerket opphold, tross brann og kommer gjerne tilbake😊

Fantastisk sted. God frokost. Seilerkroa leverte strålende mat på kvelden. Men en elendig seng ødela oppholdet dessverre. Dro med vond rygg som satt i flere dager. Slikt bør være i orden på et spa hotell!

Aufenthalt auf einer Insel mit Mängeln

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war leider nicht wie erhofft. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die schöne Lage des Hotels auf der Insel. Allerdings gab es einige Punkte, die uns sehr gestört haben. Es war uns vorab nicht klar, dass die Insel nur per Fähre erreichbar ist. Noch ärgerlicher war, dass die Fährkosten nirgends erwähnt wurden und somit eine unerwartete zusätzliche Ausgabe darstellten. Diese wichtigen Informationen sollten definitiv deutlicher kommuniziert werden. Die Gebäude und Zimmer wirkten alt und renovierungsbedürftig. Ein echtes Ärgernis war, dass die Decken und Kissen bei unserer Ankunft keinen Bezug hatten. Erst nach unserer Reklamation wurden diese bezogen. Das Frühstück war zwar reichhaltig und lecker, aber leider war alles kalt, was den Genuss trübte. Zusammenfassend können wir sagen, dass wir dieses Hotel nicht noch einmal besuchen würden.
