Disappointing Breakfast

The facility is newly decorated and very attractive. The front desk staff member was very friendly and answered all of my questions about directions to Sequoia NP. We always enjoy the breakfast at Holiday Inn Express, but on Sunday we came down just before 9am and after filling our bowls with cereal and oatmeal, we discovered there was no milk or yogurt. The breakfast room staff apologized but with an hour left for breakfast, there should have been milk of some kind available.

High Theft Area

It was clear, based on the warning signs everywhere, cars were not safe in the parking lot. But, there was no added security. Did not expect to show up and be worried about our car.

The guest room is large and comfortable, but my room had a bad smell. The fan was on before I got into the room and I kept it running whenever possible, but it did not remove the smell during my stay for 2 nights. I told the front desk and was offered using air-fresh/spray that I did not accept as I felt it wouldn't help much.
