Waterfront Beach House - 2700 Sq Ft, Fiber, mooring

This spacious waterfront house is situated on a private beach just 1.5 miles from the town of Friday Harbor in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood.

The beach is perfect for relaxing, sea glass hunts, fort building, launching a kayak or even swimming if you don't mind cold water. Local otters and other sea life will often swim by for a visit, and sunrises and sunsets are dependably Instagram-worthy.

Built in 2007, the house is 2700 square feet with incredible views of Griffin Bay. Three California King beds sleep a maximum of six people. Spacious living areas both upstairs and downstairs give plenty of room for activities and a full kitchen and laundry room provide all the comforts of home. Parking for up to three cars is available on-site.

The house has a fiber internet connection so is easily capable of many concurrent zoom meetings/streaming movies etc.

The manager lives at the property next door and is available if the need arises, but will be happy to give guests whatever level of privacy they require.

Dogs are welcome, but they must do no damage to the house and must be kept on a in control outside as the yard is not enclosed. All dog waste must be bagged and disposed of.

Important: The neighbors' beaches are also private so access is restricted to the beach within the property/Fence lines, this has become sensitive and must be honored.

During the winter, the wind can get somewhat loud as it passes over this side of the island. Some people find the sound soothing, but if you're not one of them a pair of earplugs does a fine job of blocking it out.

There is a mooring 200ft from the beach you are welcome to use once a liability waiver has been signed.

There are two security cameras on the property: One covers the parking/entrance area, the other covers the owner's strip of yard between this house and the neighbors to the south.

Kid Friendly Home with a Beautiful View

Beautiful house and a great stay! The host really thought of everything including a baby gate, which was greatly appreciated as we didn’t have to police the stairs the whole trip. The home was very kid friendly and the beds were comfortable.

So relaxing

This is a beautiful place to stay, relax and enjoy family time. Super close to downtown and quick access to island sites. The beach is very neat and the fire pit was great. The large windows made the beautiful sunrises so easy to watch and stay warm inside. The instructions were easy to follow from the fireplace to the bbq. This is a wonderful house for families to enjoy and we hope to stay there again!

Exactly as advertised!

We were looking for the right house in Friday Harbor for our family to stay for a relaxing weekend and we found it! My wife and adult children enjoyed the spacious accomodations and access to the beautiful waterfront. We enjoyed the kayaks during the day and fire pit during the evening. Great property

Overall we loved this property and would definitely stay here again. The views and water access (with kayaks and SUPs provided) can’t be beat. Communication and check in/out was very easy. The only downside is that you can tell the rental has gotten a lot of use over the years and could use a little refresh and deep clean to help with wear and tear and evidence of prior pets.

Family Vacation at Friday Harbor

We had a fantastic family vacation due in large part to the home base that this house provides. The owner was great to communicate with, the house was clean and well stocked, and was very conveniently located close to town but in a quiet neighborhood and on the waterfront. The kayaks and SUPs allows us to enjoy the water and was a great bonus. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you Nige!

Pre wedding

Had a wonderful stay for several days the week prior to my daughter’s wedding. Was a wonderful space with beautiful views for our group. I wish I had more free time to use the kayaks- only went out once- but highly recommend. Nigel- the caretaker - was very responsive to questions and concerns. Very much appreciate. And lastly the location was amazing- super convenient to town but also felt like you were off the beaten track. Hope to get back in the future- amazing rental!!

Breathtakingly beautiful locale & beachfront property

It doesn't get much better than this, an amazing home situated on waterfront property with incredible views in the San Juan Islands. We could get used to this! Close to town / ferry / airport. Host was terrific to work with. Highly recommend!

Best Engagement Weekend!

This is the second time we have stayed at the property! This is a beautiful property with an absolutely perfect location. Our future son-in-law wanted to propose to our daughter as a surprise for the weekend. This was a perfect spot for the romantic gesture. We brought our dog and their dog and six adults, and there was plenty of room for everyone to have an amazing weekend!

The rental was very nice; the location was fabulous and convenient. The house was beautiful, clean, comfortable, easy to use, and served six adults well. Owner was flexible and communication was excellent. The kayaks and equipment, which are in excellent condition, were a big plus.

Cannot beat this location....take the kayaks or paddleboards and paddle around Dinner Island....watch Sunrise....at night enjoy open view of the sky for Stars....easy access to get into the water....Nigel (owner) very responsive for any issues....town only few mins away...this is the best location we have had on SJI

A perfect spot on San Juan Island

Great house!

A very comfortable, lovely house in a wonderful spot. This was the best equipped rental house I've ever visited. Nice layout for 3 couples (we didn't use the upstairs room at all, but it would be great for older kids). Really nice that my son's dog was allowed too. Enjoyed the fire pit. Lovely views, quiet, convenient to the cute town of Friday Harbor. We had two amazing dinners - Duck Soup and Downriggers. Went whale watching and saw orcas, sea lions, seals and lots of great birds. Enjoyed birding/photography at the American Camp (also saw the black foxes!), July 4th Beach and Lime Kiln Park, as well as at the house and around the island. A super fun visit!

Amazing place

We loved everything about this property. Easy check in with great communication from the property manager. The house was beautiful - clean, great views, well furnished. We BBQ'd and used the kitchen and it had every cooking tool you could possibly want! The best part was the bonfire and water views. My young kids had a great time playing on the beach and warming up by the fire. We will definitely come back!

Beautiful waterfront home

We had a lovely stay at this property -- great layout for a multi-generational family trip! We had my parents, myself and my husband, and our two-year-old son staying for several days. We loved the views, the yard, using the kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, and the house was well-stocked with kitchen supplies and a game cupboard. My son loved what he called "the silly room" upstairs with a little reading nook and great water views. Great location minutes from Friday Harbor but very private as well and easy water access.
