The Location

Nerja is less than a 10-minute drive away and is famous for its beautiful beaches, including the wonderful Burriana Beach, the Balcón de Europa with stunning views across the Mediterranean, traditional tapas bars, beachside restaurants, boutique shops and relaxed evening strolls.

Just 5 minutes away in the hills above the villa is Frigiliana, considered one of Spain’s most beautiful white villages. Explore its cobbled streets, colourful ceramics, artisan shops, art galleries and fantastic restaurants while enjoying breathtaking countryside views.

The spectacular Nerja Caves are also well worth a visit, with incredible caverns, impressive formations and fascinating history.

For guests who enjoy walking, Frigiliana can also be reached on foot in approximately 30–40 minutes, following scenic countryside routes from the villa.

The historic city of Granada, home to the magnificent Alhambra Palace, is just over an hour away — perfect for a day trip exploring Spain’s Moorish heritage.

Only organic / natural reef friendly sun tan lotion should be used whilst in the pool, this helps to maintain the balance of the saline water. Any cloudiness must be reported straight away and should be able to be rectified.

No glass around the hot tub, swimming pool or poolside cabana areas. There is a plentiful supply of plastic glasses (in the cupboard below the oven) and wine containers (in the drinks dresser in the kitchen).

The hot tub is for adults only for safety reasons. To help maintain a beautiful experience for all guests, use is subject to our Hot Tub Usage Agreement. Additional cleaning or maintenance charges may apply where these are not followed.

Wonderful villa

Villa review We returned to Villa Olivia this year, after having stayed last year, and once again we had a wonderful time. The villa is very spacious and has lovely outdoor areas for relaxing in the shade or alternatively in the sun by the pool. The views to both the sea and mountains are breathtaking. The new owner has made some good improvements such as aircon installed in the downstairs bedroom. Our holiday at the villa was brilliant.

Wonderful villa

We had a fantastic holiday in Villa Olivia. The villa itself is amazing - very spacious inside, large swimming pool, well kept gardens, table tennis area, large shaded terrace for relaxing and outdoor meals, and of course the awesome views over the countryside and to the sea. Everything at the villa was clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed walking up to the picturesque village of Frigiliana for evening meals, and took the car for the short drive to visit Nerja and the nearby supermarkets. We can definitely recommend this villa and hopefully we’ll get the chance to return.

Fantastic!

We stayed a week with our family. Great house, lovely large pool, incredible views. Lots of shade. Easy to reach from Nerja and Frigiliana. Inside everything you need. Climate control was great. Beds are always personal, but mattresses were overly firm and pillows not very comfortable. All in all, a great stay.

What an amazing property & I’m sure it will only get better.. family of 10 including 93 yr old mother- inlaw.. stay: may 2025.2 bedroom are on living room level & 3 up nxt level, on pics basement level are currently owner privacy with lovely basement terrace.however just as expected.. luckily sun-sun-sun.. approx allow 1hour from agp aerporto..views& scenery were amazing.. car is essential.. or be exceptionally energetic..uber & bolt taxi non- existent.. local taxis of Frigiliana-Nerja no problem..10 either way…on arrival no problem, I think the essentials would be ideal on arrival ie: milk etc.. as a caring family we left ample drinks- fresh produce etc , ideal for next arrival.. Michaela was a wonderful host, & response was almost instant..Gardens are immaculate .. & overall was a fine experience of a different part of Spain.. Thankyou Villa Olivia, but most of all our thanx to Michaela & family for an amazing experience..GT& Family

Villa Holiday in Beautiful Frigiliana

The property is ideal for a family. In our case we were five adults and four children. Being there in early August , with daily temperatures in the mid 30s meant the pool was a blessing, particularly for the children. The property is also blessed with a large well maintained garden, offering views down the valley to the sea. One improvement I would make is the addition of ac in the two downstairs bedrooms. During our stay the ceiling fans proved inadequate, though is suspect only in the hottest months of the year. Despite this minor inconvenience, I would happily return to Villa Olivia, and have already recommended the property and area to a number of friends. Lastly, I would like to thank Ian, the owner for his assistance and advice in making this a memorable holiday for us all.

Lovely house in a lovely area.

We stayed in Oct 23. The villa is as described and pictured on VRBO and it was very clean and comfortable. The highlights are the external areas with great outdoor eating areas, pool (which although unheated was at a very comfortable temperature) and gardens. There have been comments that the downstairs bedrooms are not airconditioned but they were fine when we stayed. There is space for two cars to park off road but I do feel you do need a car here. Nerja and Frigiliana are both very close and very nice places to visit and eat - lively but not boisterous. We didn't have a bad meal in either place. Everybody in my group had an excellent stay and we were sad to leave. One tip: If you want to go to Granada and see the Alhambra book online well in advance (8 weeks to be safe). It books up and there are no longer any tickets available on the day despite what it says online. We missed it so will have to go again.

Einfach nur traumhaft

Die Villa und vor allem der Pool sind großartig! Wir waren zu zehnt dort und hatten alle mehr als ausreichend Platz. Die große Terrasse bietet einen Esstisch für 10 Personen inkl. Chill-Lounge und eine atemberaubende Aussicht. Geschirr ist mehr als genug vorhanden. Wir haben uns fast jeden Tag selbst versorgt. Es gibt sogar Spielsachen für Kinder, ein Volleyballnetz für den Pool, einen tollen Garten mit Zitronenbaum ...ich kann gar nicht alles Tolle aufzählen. Die Loggia am Pool mit Weber-Grill, Kühlschrank und Sitzlounge darf nicht unerwähnt bleiben. Wir haben einmal alle Lichter ausgemacht uns in das Himmelbett am Pool gelegt und einen Sternenhimmel wie in der Sahara vorgefunden, Wahnsinn. Michaela hat binnen Minuten geantwortet, wenn irgendwas nicht auffindbar war und konnte immer helfen. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt- im Gegenteil! Ein Auto ist von Vorteil, da man in einem Villenviertel wohnt, in dem es keinen Supermarkt und keine Restaurants gibt. Allerdings ist alles im Umkreis von wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Aldi, Lidl-wer mag. Carrefour, Strand, Nerja, Frigiliana...in weniger als 5-10 Minuten Fahrtzeit. Wir bedanken uns sehr und waren sicher nicht zum letzten Mal dort. Villa Olivia hat die Messlatte extrem hoch gelegt, so dass es uns schwer fallen wird ein adäquates Ferienhaus für den nächsten Urlaub zu finden.

Magical retreat

We were 2 families with 4 kids between us but they are all pretty grown up these days. The house was so perfect for us. Large open shared spaces and very generously sized bedrooms. The house is well equipped for large groups as well. We walked up to Frigiliana a few times (short but steep 2km walkl) which was lovely. And explored the beach and town side of Nerja. We did the kayaking trip one afternoon and it was a great experience. We found the notes from Ian invaluable. Over all a fantastic and much needed holiday. This is a great house with responsive owners and no problems arising during our stay. The views are spectacular. Multiple porches, big swimming pool deck, comfortable chairs and lounges. It's close to Nerja and restaurants and shopping or the beach. Less than 60 min from the airport. Barely 60 min to Granada and the Alhambra. The caves are close by. One of the best places we've ever stayed. Supreme comfort and space.

Excellent villa in a lovely location

The villa was fabulous, the pool is brilliant especially in these Covid times. Our children hardly left the pool for 2 weeks. The house has all the conveniences you need for self catering, loads of room, beautiful grounds and oh what a view! We'd have liked air con downstairs but as we spent most evenings on the terrace enjoying the sultry evenings it is a minor issue. And the maintenance company came round in less than an hour to sort out an electrics issue with the lights around the pool so all in all a brilliant place to spend 2 weeks.

Pure bliss

What a wonderful location and villa. The views are beautiful along with a wonderful pool and terraces. There were 5-8 of us over 2 weeks...all working/zooming as a respite from London and NYC. Our trainer joined us and did his online zoom classes poolside. So peaceful. The kitchen is especially well equipped. Pool furniture needs an upgrade but otherwise all fine.
