The modern and careful decoration is in tune with the historical streets that surround this city building. With a bedroom with double bed, a bathroom and a generous open space, this apartment is perfect to discover the charms of Funchal. The house is fully equipped and has all the amenities to make you feel at home.

AREA
This house is located in a privileged central area, right in the heart of the city of Funchal. At 15 minutes walking distance from the Lavradores Market and the Old Town of Funchal, from here you can explore on foot the several touristic points of our beautiful city (e.g. Cable Car, Funchal Marina, CR7 Museum, Sé Catedral, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc...)

PROPERTY RULES
To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules.

• Smoking is not permitted inside the property. A fine of €300 will be charged for non-compliance.
• Parties or events are not permitted.
• Pets are not permitted.
• Please be considerate of your neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night.

The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons. This system does not record conversations or collect personal data. Should abnormal levels be detected, a member of our team may contact you. You are not permitted to disable, cover or tamper this or any other equipment installed on the property.

In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration purposes.

Municipal tourist tax (when applicable):
€2.00 per person/night for guests aged 13 and above, up to a maximum of 7 nights (€14.00 per person per stay). A payment link will be sent prior to arrival.

Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If it is not arranged at least 48 hours beforehand, check-in will be subject to our team’s availability.

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and an additional charge.

By confirming your reservation, all guests agree to our house rules and accommodation conditions.

OTHER NOTES
All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide, free of charge, a baby travel crib, high chair and baby bath upon request before check-in. Requests made less than 48 hours before arrival may be subject to an additional fee. All properties are equipped with a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and a fire blanket.
For stays of 8 nights or more, a mid-stay service is provided, including the replenishment of bed linen, towels and consumables only. This service is not included for shorter stays. Additional cleaning services during your stay are available on request at an extra charge.

Gut gelegene Ferienwohnung mit kleinen Mängeln

Check-In war super einfach und die Wohnung liegt in einer sehr guten, zentralen Lage. Die Wohnung ist schön sauber, jedoch ist in unserem Bad Schimmel gewesen. Für die kurze Zeit störte uns dies nicht groß, jedoch wäre es trotzdem deutlich schöner ohne. Ansonsten ist die Ausstattung top sowie der Kontakt mit dem Kundenservice.

We had a really nice stay. It's small, but really cool furniture, walking distance to everything. We had an issue with the shower and it got solved straight away after texting them. The only negative thing is, that it is really loud outside day and night (as we had the 1st floor, windows to the street).

Perfect location

The apartment was ideally located! Perfect for visiting the downtown, had a mall near by (to go grocery shopping and buy anything like hats, shoes for the beach, etc), bakeries and restaurants. Just parking is a bit expensive and not easy to find spots durning the week at working hours. And if I can suggest anything to the owners of the apartment..please add in a dishwasher. Everything else is perfect!

In the heart of Funchal

The apartment is perfectly located in the city center so that you get quickly to where ever you want. Everything you need can be found within walking distance. The street in front of the house is quite loud, but the windows keep the noise outside. Very good wifi, with good quality still in the Hamburgueria, so that I could also work from there :-) A few small cosmetic repairs could be done in the apartment, but beside that it is very cozy. I felt very comfortable during my two-week-stay. Only the mattress was too hard for me. The service of An Island Apart is also very good and fast. One day after I reported an issue a service employee was at my door. Thanks for having me!

Amazing Funchal

The apartment is fabulous, great location, close to parks, entertainment, restaurants, etc. and yet nice and quite/private - you couldn’t ask for better. Loved Funchal, the ambiance, safe environment. So glad I added this destination to my list of places to see in Portugal & Spain. Do yourself a favour and add it to your itinerary - it’s well worth it and stay in the same beautiful apartment as we did.

Great Apartment

The apartment was excellent, i.e.: - Located in a narrow but fairly quiet just one lane downtown street, close to various nice to very good eateries. However, no parking slots for rental cars close by. Nicest little park of Funchal around the corner. - Access directly by foot, taxi (dozens of them just around the corner) and car. At daytime by car just for mounting and dismounting due to the one lane in front of the house. - Cleanliness was perfect however one of the bathroom sewers was smelling which is hard to get rid of I know. The fan couldn't solve that problem totally. - Appliances like modern washing machine and dryer as well as detergent were in the house. The modern air condition just blew towards the bed. TV just cable which made it hard to find acceptable stations. - Kitchen is equipped with all basics besides a dishwasher. Eating table with four chairs. Mattress seemed new and firm. The largest (and for me only) con: Management, i.e.: - Owner obviously didn't file an early mail explaining our arrival and question concerning the offered transfer to the airport. Instead I got several mails just before the trip asking for the arrival. Airport transfer hadn't been reserved either. - A day before arrival I tried to contact the given phone number. The lady called back and promised to send an SMS when to check-in which I had to ask for once again in the evening. - Having shown up at the apartment at the given time the named contact person wasn't there and didn't answer her phone either. - After calling the management again they gave me the entrance codes to the house and the apartment and another lady showed up about 20 min later for doing the check-in.
