We were disappointed with the room as it was incredibly tight, there was no natural light and really no air flow making it feel stuffy - FYI. We flagged to hotel but they were unwilling with change our room to a better one without us paying more. That bit was disappointing.

Beautifully furnished boutique hotel with very helpful staff. Rooms are well maintained and kept clean. The hotel restaurant does some great menu items so worth a visit. Breakfast buffets are fine but probably not to everyone's tastes. Location is next to the cathedral so ideal for a city stay with a difference - Funchal is a super place to visit and we hit the Xmas illumination that is world famous.
