we came to see the uf university and we came to the room late my son went to take a shower and the towels were ripped and the sheets of the bed had a lot of stains and on the pillows too and i don't recommend this hotel

First room A/C would not work only heat. They stop breakfast 15 min early and would not replenish food multiple people asking employees and they would not supply, only thing that was available was breads and other pastries. There were some old eggs dried out no one would touch. I will plan to book elsewhere in future travel.

Stayed here twice before this visit. Enjoyed those stays, however this is an older hotel that does need some work and some refurbishment. The rooms are very large, which is nice however, the first room that we were put in smelled like mold and mildew. It was on the first floor. We brought it up and we were moved to the third floor and the room smelled much cleaner, however, had an ant and bug problem in the bathroom. The selling point to this property, which has brought us back has been the buffet breakfast in the morning, which is very good as far as hotel included breakfasts are concerned. The staff here is very accommodating and everyone is very nice. However, I think the next trip to Gainesville we may try a different property if renovations and pest management has not been addressed yet.

Disappointing stay

Good hotel and location, but breakfast service lacked. Out of milk and not communicated while I waited for over 10 minutes. Announcement was made to the entire eating area after 15 mins of waiting that "We are out of milk!!"

I stayed here to visit a family member like I do approximately once a month. Hotel is very comfortable, quiet, nice breakfast. Staff is wonderful.
