La Maccinaia is a beautiful and comfortable villa and dependance with a private heated, salt-water system swimming pool, located in a very quiet location, in the heart of the Chianti region, between Gaiole and Castelnuovo Berardenga. This property is part of a wine producing estate and it is possible to arrange visit to the wine cellar upon request.
The main villa can sleep up tp 10/12 people and dates to the 17th century. It has been restored at very high standard by its Belgian owners who combined modern design with original Tuscan architecture. The property is equipped with the highest standard of modern comforts, including air-conditioning on the ground floor & second floor, wi-fi technology, a large flat screen television with satellite tv, and an especially well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are furnished with great taste, and almost all of them have en-suite bathrooms. Just across from the main villa there is a guest house built of stone that can sleep up to 6 people. This part of the property is of more recent construction, but maintains the same high level of the main villa.
A particular feature is a covered veranda which makes eating al fresco a lovely experience. The panoramic position of La Maccinaia allows guests to enjoy colorful views of the Chianti countryside, especially from the guest house terrace and the pool area.
In the well-kept garden there is a large vegetable garden and the staff is happy to support the guests in planning cooking services and cooking lessons. This area is also particularly convenient for wine lovers as there are several well-known winerie a short drive away.
Please note that the road leading to La Maccinaia is unpaved and the heating of the pool is included in the price from the beginning of May until the end of September - If you trave outside this period time please be aware that if used it will be at extra cost.

Cleaning service is included 3 hours a day, 5 days a week.
