Great Galena Getaway

We came into Galena for a get-away from the city and wanted to stay somewhere close to the main thoroughfare. Hotel Galena did not disappoint. The building and the grounds are charming, Denise and Nate were so so nice and helpful. We stayed in #7 (one of the suites) and the jetted bathtub was divine; soothing and against the brick of the 1856 building and stained glass window…it was the best of the past and present. Overall, worth the price and such a charming way to relax in a charming town.

Rooms were gorgeous! Easy walk to Main Street. Nate (the owner) was very accessible. Lots of nice little touches around the room. Fresh towels were brought without asking and left in a darling basket outside of our room. Breakfast was decent with local sold items. Cute outdoor area to sit and unwind.

What's not to like? This property beats the crap out of any chain hotel. Just a delightful place: the manager who greeted us was great, the continental breakfast was great, the building itself is charming and amazing and I hope I can keep coming back here whenever I come to Galena.
