Upstairs, two more bedrooms await, one with a queen-size bed and a day bed with trundle, and another with two cozy twin beds. Each bedroom is equipped with new window air conditioners for added comfort during warm spells, offering serene views of either Emigrant Peak or the picturesque backyard where elk and deer often roam.

Relish moments of relaxation on our front porch swing, soaking in panoramic views of Electric Peak and Yellowstone's rolling hills, where elk, deer, bison, antelope, and occasional bears or wolves may grace your sight. Our fenced backyard beckons with mature trees, blooming flowers, a barbecue grill, and a patio perfect for al fresco dining.

The heart of our home, the kitchen, is fully equipped with gourmet essentials like olive oil, vinegar, and spices, alongside modern appliances including a dishwasher, dual-oven range, microwave, blender, mixer, slow cooker, and coffee maker. A breakfast bar and round dining table offer cozy spots for meals and gatherings.

Entertainment options abound, from a 44” smart flat screen TV with wireless WIFI so you can log into your account and watch your favorite shows, and a treasure trove of books, games, and cards. For added convenience, we provide a washer and dryer with laundry detergent.

Unique home on the main drag of Gardiner. Met our need to be together, yet room to spread out. Great location.

The house is very quaint, easy to see that it was much cared for by its owners who appear to be nature-loving artists. The location was very convenient for our day trips into Yellowstone and we loved having a spacious kitchen to prepare our own meals and picnics as the town dining options are pretty sparse (recommend grocery shopping before you get to Gardiner). The property is for sale and it's clear that the owners are no longer there much. Sadly the picture of the garden in the listing is out of date as it has turned into a weed patch but despite that we enjoyed sitting out back for some decent bird watching in the two big trees. There is a brand new hotel just across the alley so once the leaves fall, the hotel would be your backyard view, but in the Summer that building is mostly obscured by the trees (people do walk by on the other side of the fence).Despite being right on the main drag in the center of town, the house is quiet inside (with the windows and doors shut) and peaceful. The beds are decent, the downstairs shower is very nice and while the upstairs bath is a bit funky it is perfectly usable. We were two adults each with our own room and bath, which provided plenty of room to spread out (though pricey for this configuration). It seems the house would be ideal for a couple with young adult children. And, if taxidermy isn't your thing, be prepared for a few heads in the main room.

Could stand to be updated a bit and the backyard was a tiny bit overgrown, back steps really needed to be replaced. Having said that it was in a wonderful location had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Kitchen was very well equipped as well. It was also very clean and the owner was VERY responsive to our needs!

Convenient and outstanding! Very comfortable.

The process was seamless. I had a question before I booked and it was answered promptly leading me to book our stay. The house was clean, had enough room for all of us, was convenient to everywhere we planned to go and was quiet despite being in the center of town! It was perfect for our family!

Cute house in great location

This house is very cute and in a great location in Gardiner. We walked everywhere while staying there. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching everyone go by plus the elk roaming around town. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay

The remodel is great, I live in town and have always wanted to see the inside of the house. Upstairs is good for friends and kids. The grill needs updated, but worked. I want to stay again over the winter just for the nice shower downstairs.

Cozy historic house near Yellowstone park

We enjoyed staying in this historic house very much. So close to Yellowstone National Park. The house is equipped with just about everything we need. It is like staying in our own home. Moreover, I especially enjoyed looking at the artistic works of J Wantulok. 👍

Unique and comfortable home right in the heart of Gardiner MT. The place is comfortable and roomy for a group of three. It's just a short walk to the entrance to Yellowstone. Great town and beautiful location.

Great place

The house was really nice, but it was on a busy street which I was not expecting, but it was fine. The view across the street is spectacular with mountains in the background. During a few early evenings of our stay at large elk was eating grass in the next-door neighbor’s yard! That proved to be very entertaining !! The house was very clean thankfully, but the beds unfortunately were not very comfortable, this is excluding the twin beds, which were the most comfortable of all the beds in the house. The master bedroom pillows were comfortable, but none of the other pillows were.. it would’ve been nice to know that they have dish soap, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, bath soap, shampoo, and toilet paper provided, we purchased all of this, but we would not have had we known that. Also, I wish there were more towels provided, bath towels, specifically. We could’ve used more for a family of four. Wonderful stay!

We had a great stay in the Little Castle! Gardiner is a nice small town at the north entrance of Yellowstone. This house is close to restaurants, shops and a grocery store. Very clean, had everything we needed after our days exploring Yellowstone. Thanks for a great stay!

Location, Location, Location

Great location - some might complain about being on the main street but by 10pm - there is limited to no traffic so didn't phase me sleeping. We used as a home base to hike NW Yellowstone - worked our extremely well. Nice old charm feel to the house and the steam shower makes me want to install one at home! Mark responded to most comments/questions within hours - great to work with. An elk joined us two evenings on the side of the house as I was enjoying a beer rocking on the front porch swing. The A/C units weren't great but it was in the 70s/low 80s when we were there, so limited need and maybe that had something to do with it. We'd certainly rent again if back in the area.

Great Place to Stay for Yellowstone

We used this house as our base for exploring Yellowstone. It was a clean and comfortable place to relax after a day in the park and recharge for the next day. Gardiner is a great little town. We could walk to everything easily from this location. The house is as described in the listing. 5/5 stars. Would stay here again.

Charming Castle in main Gardiner MT road in town

3 bedroom older build home with well kept woodwork inside, updated appliances, comfortable beds, and window AC (late June stay so cooler evenings, nights, and mornings). We had easy access to Yellowstone so enjoyed 3 days visiting the park. Street parking was available we parked Wagoneer on, looked like it would fit in garage off an alley but we chose not to use it. One early call from owner, really did not need any more comms. We did have trouble finding coffee filters, kept right next to coffee maker in container, had label but missed it initially. We’d stay here again.
