The Kids won't want to leave!!! Our kid friendly home has something to offer everyone!!EXCELLENT views which include beautiful sunrises over Mt. LaConte, the aerial tram, downtown Gatlinburg, a game room with FREE REAL arcade games that will for sure entertain adults and children for hours,located near one of the three Chalet Village community heated pools (open mid-May to mid Sept.),and 1/2 mile from the entrance to Ober Gatlinburg ski area. All of this for a great value!! PLUS, we have PARKING!! We have a parking area that can fit 4-5 cars across and everyone can get out or park a motorcycle trailer!!

Our Chalet is a large A-frame design. It has three levels with a bath on each level. The first level has 2 bedrooms (1Q, 1F), a full bath and a laundry facility (washer and dryer). The main level has 2 bedrooms (2Q's), a full bath, the living/dining room,gas fireplace with sunken living room, kitchen, and decks which surround 2 sides of our home, and the hot tub. The 3rd level has a bedroom (1K ), plus a bed (1F ) on the loft, a bath. The game room is its own room off this level and has couches. Our cabin is close to all the area attractions(Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Cherokee, National Park entrance and more). It sits on top of Ski Mountain in the Chalet Village neighborhood and our street ends with the boundary to the National Forrest which allows for an occasional visit from wildlife, i.e. 'L'il Smokey', a black bear, that likes to visit our home from time to time in search of their next meal. Even though, we are on top of the mountain, we are still only 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and 15 minutes to Pigeon Forge.

We have WIRELESS INTERNET SERVICE, FREE LONG DISTANCE PHONE SERVICE for US & Canada, and digital cable. We have stereo systems, DVD and VHS players and a movie library for your viewing pleasure. We offer a complete kitchen and dishes with a set up for 15.

Our home has something for everyone...entertainment, close to all area attractions, views, the house is located a lot away from your neighbors on all sides, and fun. The word I usually use to describe our home is that is has 'Great Flow' for a group. While the kids are up in the game room, the adults can enjoy a movie or views from the deck.

Update: The Hot Tub was replaced in January 2022, and is working great.

We were a little disappointed with the condition of the home. First, there is no free arcade room. Free usually means you don't have to pay to play but coins were required so we didn’t get to use that feature. There were mouse droppings in kitchenware and mold on utensils requiring everything to be thoroughly washed. That's when we found out the soap dispenser was just full of water. We had to make a trip to go get cleaning products because there were none. After we picked our rooms we found ants in the beds. When we went to make dinner, we found the grill was extremely dirty and the microwave does not function properly. There weren't many towels so we went to purchase more. We did a load of laundry only to find out the dryer does not work which left us without usable towels. The deck has rotting wood that feels unsafe, and some furniture is damaged.The "board games" were just empty boxes.Overall, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and accuracy in the listing significantly impacted our stay.

The heat was not even in every room. There was trash left in the game room like it was not cleaned well and my daughter thought she saw a mouse in there.Not all of the games worked.The bathrooms need work and one of the bathrooms only had a tub but no shower head.The driveway is very steep.If you want to play any board games, bring them with you. The Monopoly game that was there did not have any pieces, dice, money or hotels/houses. We ended up buying some cards to play.

We stayed here with 4 toddlers & 6 adults. It was WELL loved from all. I seen some reviews mentioning it was “dirty” or “out of date”, but it was clean! It would be considered out dated in comparison to the more modern cabins, but it gave it character & made it feel so homey. We did come across a couple issues, but they were no problem to us & the host responded quickly about it. The stairs are steep inside the house. We had a few incidents but all was okay (fault of our own, just wanted to give a warning). They provided one baby gate that was broken, but we improvised with it. If you do stay here, I would bring anything you might need - salt, pepper, aluminum foil, etc. because very little was provided (for example: a (maybe) 2oz bottle of dish soap and that was all we could find). There was hand soap, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.Overall, regardless of the little inconveniences, this was a fantastic stay and might become an annual stay!

Hoy tub was great. We saw bears 3 days in a row. Even had them on the porch. Views are amazing as is the proximity to skiing. This could be a 5 star property, but, maintenance is lacking. Examples: fridge filters need changing. Some games in game room are inoperable. Biggest area of concern for us was the presence of mold in both showers. With a house that sleeps 14 you expect kitchen stocked with enough glasses and cups to support that. As well as pots and pans. There are pots and pans but most if not all were non-stick with most of the non stick gone from improper use. Dryer ran but wouldn’t heat. It was reported but wasn’t able to be fixed during our stay. Second floor bed frame was broken leaving the mattress at your feet on the floor. We were able to somewhat straighten the bed frame and use a book to make one of the broken legs level with the others. Carpet is old and worn in areas. You have to be careful when using the microwave with other appliances because it will trip the breaker. There are other issues as well. Again, this is a great location and this could be a fantastic place. It’s just in serious need of some much needed maintenance and tlc.

This was perfect for our blended family of youths and young adults. We even got visited by a bear family and later a raccoon - we didn’t feed nor approach any wildlife - just observed through the window as mama and her three cubs roamed the deck and walked on - but it was nothing short of magical!! I highly recommend this cabin and all the amenities including a Mack daddy of a game room!

The cabin was nasty and very rundown. Three of the beds were broken, the kitchen drawers were falling out. Carpet was torn and filthy, the veneer was peeling on all the doors. The bedding was 1 thin worn out blanket, mattress were stained and filthy. The shower head in the upstairs was broken off, the faucet in one bath tub was broken it was either hot or cold no adjustment at all.

The amenities location hot tub gameroom and spacious cabin were all amazing. Being visited by a bear family on the back deck was great experience for the kids they were able to get up close veiws of the nears while in the safety of the home windows are hreat for viewing the bears

The cabin was dirty. There were gold fish crackers all over the bathroom floor. The beds were awful, either too hard or way too floppy. Pillows were also flat. There were dead bugs down by the fire place. We were expected to clean up, which is fine but the vacuum waa missing a prong for the power so it couldn't be used. Overall it served its purpose for a place to sleep, but wasn't what we expected.

Wonderful location, a little out of date, but we knew it going in and still well worth the rate. Hosts were commuincative, very reasonable with check out list, and wonderful. No issues during stay, except lack of pillows for the amount of people we booked for. Wildlife was abundant, feel like better door locks would be useful! We all had a great time.

Nice older chalet. Clean and quiet. Lock your car doors, had a bear get in our car and trash it. Also had them watching us while we were in the hot tub and laying on the decks. Nice location to get in town and out to pigeon forge.

Great for teens!

I took my 16 yr old daughter and her best friends for a weekend stay in May. The teens had a blast in the arcade room hanging out and playing pool and video games. There were no issues finding the house or getting into the driveway in my loaded down CRV. The owners sent excellent directions. If it was wintertime, I would have needed four wheel drive, I think. We didn’t see any bears on the property. The beds were comfy and we all slept well. It’s an older home which we loved and we found it so charming. It would have been so fun to use the “fire pit” in the living room if it had been winter. The air conditioning cooled the house fast. The only thing I couldn’t find that I needed in the kitchen was an oven mitt. Overall, fantastic weekend!
