So, grab the family and escape to the serenity of Vista Lodge! This luxury lodge is nestled high on a mountain right in the heart of Gatlinburg and is an ideal location to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! For the adventurous who enjoy hiking, the Park is easily accessible by a short 0.5 mile hike up a nearby old logging road! By car, the park is just 2.5 miles from the lodge.

Gatlinburg is a great place to visit for adventure seekers or relaxed visitors alike. Start your morning by taking in the fresh mountain air and the fabulous mountain views with a fresh cup of coffee in hand from one of our three spacious decks. During the day go hiking on the nearby trails, picnicking next to the streams, shopping the crafts trails.....end your days relaxing while watching the sunset from one of our 18 rocking chairs or two porch swings or from the relaxing comfort of the seven person hot tub or the huge 12-person party hot tub or from one of the eight Adirondack chairs while relaxing around the fire pit - the choice is yours!

Later in the evening, you can enjoy some star gazing from your seat around the fire pit in our outdoor living area on Level 3 or you can enjoy a movie or the big game in the theater room on the big screen TV with the awesome surround sound system while relaxing in the tiered seating of the luxury leather recliners. The kids (and adults too) are sure to enjoy a game of pool on the regulation size 8 ft pool table and its companion 10 ft shuffleboard table. There's also a multi-arcade cocktail table which includes 60 of the top arcade games from the 80's including Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Mario Brothers and many more which could keep you busy for hours on end!
Undoubtedly, there may be someone in the group who will want to fire up the X-Box One gaming system and play someone in a game at Vista Lodge or someone back home via the internet. For those who like card games, board games and puzzles, there is a gaming table in the Level 2 game room.

Vista Lodge can easily accommodate 24 people with inside dining for 26+ and outside dining for 14+. The Lodge is situated just minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg in one direction and the Rocky Top Sports World complex in the other direction. Attractions like Dollywood, Dixie Stampede and The Island are just a few minutes further away in Pigeon Forge.

With the Great Smoky Mountains National Park being right next door, bear sightings occur regularly at Vista Lodge. Seeing the bears in person is an awesome experience and we encourage our guests to enjoy our mountain "neighbors". However, as the National Park Service reminds us, even though seeing a bear is a truly exciting event, it is important to remember that bears in national parks are wild and can be dangerous. Their behavior is sometimes unpredictable. While we encourage our guests to enjoy viewing the bears, it is important to keep your distance and not surprise the bears. Everyone will be able to go home happy that way!

This was by far the best cabin my family and I have ever stayed in. The cabin was beautifully decorated, very clean, looked newly built, the kitchen was spacious and we loved the main floor having 2 main suites with king size beds. This cabin’s location was great for us close to Gatlinburg. Lynn from Smokey Mountain Vacations was very friendly and communicated with me to see if I needed anything periodically during my stay to make sure my stay was satisfactory. This cabin is Vista Lodge, and we loved it and will definitely be our first choice of where to stay next time! This cabin has everything that we needed and more!

Never Ending Views

We stayed with five families - 9 adults and 7 kids. There was plenty of room and everyone enjoyed all the amenities. The location was great, and it was convenient to all that the Smoky Mountains have to offer. The most fun was seeing all the bears around the house.

Bears A Plenty!

We have stayed in a lot of different cabins in and around Gatlinburg and this one by far met and exceeded our expectations! Everything we needed for our party of 17 was available in the cabin. Kitchen was well supplied with plenty of pots ,pans ,plates ,silverware and everything else we needed to be comfortable. We had enough towels for everyone including the spas! The outside space was amazing with great views and nice gathering spaces on every level. The children loved the movie room and game room. The highlight of the week were the daily visits from the bears! Mom and her 3 cubs were a favorite! We have never seen so many bears of every shape and size! ( Of course we viewed them from a distance and got some great photos!) Highly recommend this cabin.

The Perfect Vacation

Where do I start? We vacationed with our four adult kids and their spouses (no grandkids yet) and this home was absolutely perfect! So spacious but cozy at the same time. We loved it was decorated for Christmas and I especially loved sitting in the living room at night with only the lights of the tree and the fire going. And the view! Looking across the valley at night at the lights of Gatlinburg was so pretty!The bedrooms were very spacious and the beds super comfortable. It’s so nice every bedroom has its own private bath. The half bath and laundry on the main floor were convenient, too.The kitchen is a cook’s dream come true…so well appointed! We had our Thanksgiving (a little late) while there and everything we needed to prepare our meal was already there! Lynn thought of it all when equipping the kitchen. The party spa, theater room, and game area were an added bonus the kids made good use of! We’ve been coming to the area for several years and we’ve never seen the bears so active…they passed by every day which we absolutely loved!If you’re looking for a phenomenal home for your family vacation that’s super convenient but well off the beaten path (not to mention beautiful), please don’t miss out on Vista Lodge. Lynn is amazing to work with…very responsive and super sweet. Highly recommend this home…hope to stay here again!

Great extended family trip

Our family of six, my in-laws, and my sisters family of 4 loved this location. Honestly, we could’ve had one or maybe even two more families. The view is really beautiful. It’s closer to Gatlinburg than I thought which I think overall is a plus. Every single day we had bears visit the property. There was a mother and two cubs, and there was an adolescent male. It was one of the highlights of the trip. We are so close to the national park at this house. I think that increases the likelihood. The hot tubs were a huge hit. Overall the house is a definite win. Two thumbs up.

Gatlinburg Gathering

My wife and I had our 3 adult children with wives & our 5 grandkids join us for our first-time Gatlinburg-adventure. The home was in perfect condition: beautiful, spotless, and welcoming. We enjoyed all of the gathering areas over our 5-day stay. The first floor living room was perfect for visiting while warming by the fireplace. It was great having the large table for meals; all of us could eat together, too. The hot tub on the lower level was enjoyed by the adults after the kids were put in bed. Having a TV to watch the Monday night game while in the hot tub was a big plus. Speaking of the kids in bed, the room with the bunk beds worked great for the older children while the two youngest, almost 3 and 1-year old shared another bedroom. We brought a pack-n-play and the bedroom was of generous size, allowing that to be put up with ease. We played some pool and shuffle board in the evening, too. One note, we were visited by bears and they know how to open the car doors! So, be sure to lock your car doors. Now having said that, the bears were very gentle with our cars once inside. In one car, there was nothing for them to snack on while in the other, they gracefully picked up snacks and actually waited to eat them outside the car. The drive to the house involves steep, windy roads. If there is snow or ice, that would be challenging. But that also affords beautiful views from the ample balconies. We will definitely return if and when we decide to travel to the area again.

LETS GO BUFFAO!

It was amazing! Plenty of room for our adult party of 12. Clean and comfy all around. loved the 2 hot tubs. BIG kitchen table for meals and card games. And did i mention the view...i am still there in my mind. Giant refrigerator and everything you would need in a kitchen. We did not cook much but was nice to know it all was there if we decided to. I can't think of anything that was missed and would stay again.

Great spot to get together with a large family!

We went to this property the middle of August from Thursday to Sunday. It was a wonderful cabin with the gorgeous mountain views. This was one of the reasons I chose this location. I wasn’t crazy about driving the steep and narrow roads to leave the cabin to go places in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge so my husband drove the whole time. Other adult drivers knew that I booked a cabin high in the mountains for the views. Another reason I and other family members liked staying in this cabin was because of the number of bedrooms with king beds and seven and a half bathrooms. With fifteen people, it was great having so much room. It was cool having three levels too! It might have been because the extreme heat outside but we had trouble getting the temperature cooler inside the cabin at times. The pool table was popular for our family but most of the pool sticks didn’t have tips. There were fun other games to play too. We were impressed how the bottom level had a Keurig with the K-pods, microwave popcorn, and a mini refrigerator. Usually, you only find this on the main floor in other places. It was nice that five grandkids were able to sleep in the bunk bedroom. Lynn (the owner) had a play and pack crib for the youngest grandchild in the cabin and a highchair for her to use. The grandkids loved the cabin so much that they want to go again next year. If you’re looking for a roomy place to stay in Gatlinburg with stunning views, this is a great place to consider.

Paradise on the Mountain

We throughly enjoyed our trip and this beautiful property. The beds were comfortable and the home was clean and well stocked. There were so many things to do inside the home. The movie theater was enjoyed by everyone. Communication with the owners was excellent! I would highly recommend this vacation rental.

Lovely House with amazing views

This property exceeding all of our expectations. The views were amazing. This house is perfect for a large group. It is fully stocked with everything you may need. The owners were quick to respond with any questions we had. We say bears almost daily, which we really enjoyed...we got so excited each time the bears visited. We will book this house in a heartbeat if/when we return. The host were so kind...truly amazing people who we had an opportunity to meet! Can't wait to return in the near future.
