Perfect Family Getaway

The location was perfect for our group-4 adults & 6 kids. We had a few neighbors that we could hear but had a great space for the children to be children without others complaining. The beds were comfortable amd there were extra pillows & blankets in the closets. We were not far for Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. There is a Food City right in Gatlinburg and a small convenient store a few minutes from the property. We were also close to the Smokey mountain state park entrance.The view from the back porch is breath taking and its so peaceful in the morning & evening. We even had a bear visit our deck.Some small inconvenience we had was there was no broom, but there was a vacuum & a mop (but with kids we like to keep the crumbs to a minimum). The dryer took longer to dry clothes even if there was a small load. The main bathroom shower handle was odd-either it was loose or something- it was hard to turn on. Some of the cooking pans have seen better days but there was a variety to chose from. Same with plenty of dishes and silverware.The last would be the deck- it some spots the wood is chipping & splintering off, and there seems to be some softer spots. I would advise to wear shoes out on the deck.

Comfortable Stay

The cabin was beautiful. It was just what we needed for a couple of days relax and quiet. If you have little ones though the bunk beds were really close togther and mine hit their heads on it.

The Treetop Retreat Visit

This family trip was our fourth time visiting Gatlinburg, we always enjoy our visits. The Treetop Retreat is about a 15 minute drive from downtown, the balcony views were amazing. The floor plan was very accurate, and accommodated my family of 6 very well. The amenities were great, minus the overall cleanliness of the cabin. The worst of it was the cleanliness of the hot tub. Unfortunately that would have been one of the highlights of our stay, but due to the condition of the water and hot tub, we decided to forgo the hot tub experience. This cabin is absolutely beautiful.
