Cold showers and no help from reception

To start, our taxi dropped us off at the reception office. Then we were told our actual room was a 10 minute walk and then on 3rd floor of a walk-up apartment. Mattress was very thin and not comfortable. Faucets were not attached to the sink and the shower head was clogged and not much water came out. But that didn’t matter, because there was no hot water. It was ice cold. To get it just “cold” so we could use it, we had to run the sink water at the same time. I called the reception 3 times and wrote 2 emails but no one replied until the day we checked out. There was also no heat working in the main part of the apartment. And it’s December.

2 night break, v.good location.

Collecting the keys from a separate location was a little confusing, and although it wasn't to far, it is still a consideration after a very early flight. (would be much better to be met at the location) the outside of the apartment was not very nice, lots of steps to get to the 3rd floor. However the apartment is exactly like the photos. And very clean. We did not prepare food or use the washing machine or cooking facilities or the TV. strangely the TV was located in one of the bedrooms , and not the sitting area.! We reported that the bathroom tap was very loose, and a tea towel was not provided, of any rubbish bin. Shower gel would have been handy. We did not receive a reply to the email. These are very small things which would have made things easier. The apartment is newly renovated and the location is perfect. I would stay there again on a return visit because it is great value for money. We were 4 ladies traveling together.
