The woman working the front desk is so nice! There is a pizza place next door that was a very cheap and yummy lunch. The rooms are cute and clean! They have a very cabin like feel to them! You can walk all over the town.

Our stay was okay. Given other reviews (which incidentally led to staying here), I was just expecting…more. The room was fine and clean, but the headboard was awkward and the room relatively small for the price. The property is showing its age, and not in a good rustic or even old-fashioned way, just old and in need of an update.

Quiet and Cozy Stay, but Breakfast Disappointing

Quiet and cozy hotel with a clean room, comfortable bed, and a nice location for walking into town. The only downside was the very limited free breakfast, which felt underwhelming for the price. Options included coffee, milk, cereal, bagels, and toast—but only Philadelphia cream cheese or boiled eggs as accompaniments. I wasn’t quite sure what I was supposed to pair the toast with, and without sitting tables.

My family and I were hiking Gray’s Peak early in the morning and wanted to stay in a nearby hotel/motel the night before and found the Georgetown Mountain Inn online. Check in was a breeze and Amber was not only pleasant and informative, but even provided a water kettle and a selection from their included breakfast for us to take that night as we were leaving early in the am. The lobby was charming with a beautiful stone fireplace, the rooms had wood paneling and wood log furniture. (Their “Log Room”) The rooms were a bit dated but the beds were comfortable and clean (as were the towels). Our room (2 queens each) had a microwave and refrigerator and plenty of outlets for our devices. The water pressure for my shower was very good but the temperature could have been a bit hotter. The price was very reasonable (about half of Microtel down the street). It’s very close to the quaint town and we had dinner at Cooper’s on the Creek (great burgers and cocktails/extensive draft beer selection!) If you want a convenient, charming stay with excellent service that doesn’t break the bank, I highly recommend the Georgetown Mountain Inn!

My Mom's 90th birthday getaway. Long overdue. Take some time to look around. Gorgeous mountain views. Caring staff. Tiny humming birds. Laid back easy. Dated rooms, yes but that's part of the experience. Like staying at the family cabin. We didn't want to leave.

This was a last minute booking. One thing to be aware of is that there is no air conditioning…only windows and a fan. This turned out being fine for us but could easily have been too hot as we were not going to leave the windows open over night being two women traveling alone. The carpet could stand to be professionally cleaned and the hot tub jets weren’t working. BUT this was a very economical stay, the Alpine Restaurant/Bar next door has phenomenal pizza and the staff at the hotel is very friendly. Everything is clean, the area felt safe and over all it was perfectly fine. We would stay again.
