WONT GO AGAIN. I have stayed in hotels around the world and this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at by far. Internet didn’t work our entire 8 night stay and we wanted to checkout early and go to another hotel with internet but the front desk refused to refund unused nights even though they acknowledged the internet didn’t work. The entire hotel is on 220v power even though the standard in Guyana is 110v. Was unable to use curling iron and unable to charge devices. Breakfast was terrible with dinner food vs breakfast. The hotel has a musty or moldy smell to it. The bed was hard like a rock and we complained so they brought a foam mattress topper but the bed was king size and the foam was queen so it didn’t fit proper. Like I said above I have traveled the world and stayed in hundreds of hotels of all kinds from 2 star to 5 star and nothing was this bad. Thankfully Guyana now has other hotel options to stay.

Room was great besides flimsy light switches that were falling off the wall despite this being a new hotel. Wish they employed more local workers at the reception, bar and restaurant because there was a language barrier. Also, would be great if hotel reflected more of Guyana heritage instead of making me feel like I'm in China

The Asian staff was welcoming, the room was clean, and the breakfast was tasty. Needed more Guyanese cuisine for the breakfast. The one thing that was not ok was that we were roomed below the gym. Needless to say, the noise was bad, but the staff immediately switched our room as soon as we mentioned the noise. I will definitely go there again.

My 4-night stay was pretty comfortable. The room was equipped with even more than I expected; slippers for shower and room, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, razor and cream, bottle of water etc. The bed was clean and comfortable and the security was good.

Hotel is beautiful and very safe. My son stayed in his room while we went to the roof top pool and bar which is beautiful. The breakfast which is included had a wide variety of fresh delicious hot cooked food, including Asian dishes and some guyanese favorites like bakes and fried fish, saltfish, curry and roti and seasonal vegetables. I would definitely stay here again with my family. The Mall part of the hotel is not completed but when it is fully finisded it will be an amazing space with tons of things to do for everyone. Thank you for hosting us we had a wonderful time in Guyana and look forward to seeing you guys on our next trip.

Mixed feelings on this as a visiting Guyanese. The hotel itself is very modern and spacious and I think it will be excellent when finished with a lovely reception bar. The beautiful mall is unfinished but there is a supermarket and the latte daytime cafe is cosy. On the flipside, we requested to be moved from our room as the windows were totally blocked by a billboard which we hadn't been told about. Unfortunately dining and outside options are very limited, unbelievably the only real food on offer outside of breakfast is Chinese or Thai. There is limited Caribbean/Guyanese cuisine to reflect the country this hotel is in - only a tiny bit at the cafe which closes at 4. And there is no outdoor relaxation/chilling area for guests in tĥis tropical country. This indicates my main gripe with this hotel, 90% of the staff are non english speaking Chinese, even in the supermarket, others are spanish speaking. It must've been as stressful for them too but staff were generally friendly. Very few are native Guyanese speaking. The botonical gardens are worth two visits though the back gates opposite are open weekends only and care is needed to cross the road safely as it's very busy and the crossing is a little walk away as is the local snack grill place. Overall, a work in progress, hopefully it will also provide more information on what's on offer at the outset and visitor info at the front desk and fire instructions in rooms. It was good to see smoke masks in rooms.
