Very Nice and clean. However, its for me to find the value for the cost. There is no breakfast, no pool, and no work-out area. Being on the water and within walking distance to a few a restaurant was very nice. I also tried to move my stay to the next week, unfortunately they would not allow me to do so. This would be a nice couples stay, but wasnt great for my business stay.

This was a quick getaway to celebrate our anniversary and we could not have been more impressed with this establishment. The hotel was absolutely stunning and the staff was unbelievably attentive. They had champagne waiting in our room. The hotel restaurant The Independent is one of the best restaurants in town and they made our dinner so special. Thanks to the entire staff. We will be back.

The room is perfect for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. The property is amazing, exceptionally maintained, decor is minimal in a way that adds character throughout. A feeling of being safe in the area extends to the property and environment.

The humidifier/air conditioner was preposterously noisy all night/day. Even the hallways were ridiculously noisy. I requested help from the manager - nothing could be done even though they’ve had complaints about this in the past. So difficult to sleep. I will never stay there again & can not recommend it as a hotel I spite of lovely features. We did enjoy a wonderful meal/service at The Independent. I was quite upset by the experience.

I enjoy the property because of the convenience to one stop shop. You can basically park, enjoy the view, eat all meals if you so desire, enjoy night life while feeling safe. The options for restaurants are great, from sushi, Mexican, coffee, seafood, and even a great Italian restaurant. I love going! Be back soon!

I would happily give The George six (6) stars. We have been driving through Georgetown on our way to Pawleys/Litchfield/Myrtle Beach and have never even considered stopping for gas. The industrial vibe never gave off any hint of historic integrity or charm. Wow! We were wrong. The George sits amongst a charming block of shoppes and gorgeous antebellum homes. Parking was ample. The design is luxurious and chic with the pioneer southern spirit. The restaurant was fabulous. The room was well appointed with a thoughtfully planned coffee station. The only category I would lower to a 4.9 is the bathroom shower; it missed the mark with a basic shower head and the racks were too small for the products…but the products were high end and a lux brand. We would 💯 decide to stay there again when traveling to Pawleys. Oh, I should state we were coming to watch our son in a golf tourney in Pawley’s; the commute was super easy. It’s a gem!
