The place was fine but nothing special. I thought it was a bit expensive even for the convenience of being downtown. It was clean as far as I could tell so no complaints there.

Considering it was a family-owned hotel, and not a chain, it was very nice. The staff was very friendly, and the location was perfect. The breakfast in the morning was great, with a variety of selections.

I don't like to leave bad reviews but the place is kind of run down. I hate the hard floors in the rooms. Furniture in rooms is kind of beat up, cheap and old. The elevator rattles to where you worry about making it to your floor. The heating unit rattles. It's not just not kept up. The one thing it has going for it is location. You can walk to a bunch of restaurants from here and the Gettysburg visitors center is 1 Mile away. That said, I think there are better places to stay at for the money.

This is a lovely hotel located in the heart of Gettysburg and within walking distance of many shopping and dining options. Although the property is a bit dated, it was very clean and the breakfast had a wide range of options (including healthy items). The staff was friendly and helpful.
