We enjoyed our night at the hotel--a fun stopover on our way from hiking Cactus Organ National Park and heading to Yuma. This hotel is the only Al Stovall space themed hotel left from a bunch built in the 60s, which makes it special. The renovations make it nice. The rooms are spacious and the restaurant is fine for a simple dinner and breakfast--really good coffee and alien gift store.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, the hotel itself felt safe, and the pool was a okay. Overall a nice place and I’d stay there again. All that said if you have any noise sensitive this might not be the place for you. The AC unit in the room was pretty loud, and you can hear traffic from the highway and the train that runs behind the motel.

Best part of this stay was the dinner had good food with good portions for you money. It did close an hour before the posted time though. Staff were nice and easy to talk to, but the grounds and rooms are pretty rough. Not at all like the pictures.

I never leave negative reviews, but this stay did not meet expectations. We were looking forward to the nostalgia of staying at the Space Age Lodge. The rooms were clean and dog-friendly. However, check in was difficult, the pool & hot tub were not lit (but open until 10:00pm), and the restaurant was not open for the included breakfast.
