We are just 5 minutes south of the heart of Gimli, where you can enjoy the shops, restaurants and local Icelandic culture.
Take a 10-15 minute drive north to the very popular Arnes Farmers market(open during the summer weekends) or to the Hnausa General Store. An hour North will take you to Hecla Island for some hiking or just a beautiful and scenic day trip. Another nice spot to visit is just a 5 minute drive north of Gimli to Camp Morton Provincial Park that features endless hiking trails, cross country skiing in the winter, beautiful beaches, lakefront walks and trails and endless historic sites and information.
PLEASE NOTE: Our home is located in a quiet community and the following house rules are to be followed at all times by our guests: -fireworks/firecrackers are strictly prohibited -Gimli and area noise bylaws are in effect from 11:00PM-8:00AM daily. Reports of noisy/disruptive behavior during this time will NOT be tolerated -rowdy/disruptive behavior that is disrespectful/damaging to our house,its contents,the property,community or others who live in the area will NOT be tolerated. -failure to comply with these rules will result in you/your groups immediate removal from the property without refund.
The home is located in a quiet neighbourhood just South of the the town of Gimli. Hope in the car for a quick 5 minute drive into the town of Gimli, walk the surrounding trails or head out for a bike ride.
Note water Levels of Lake Winnipeg fluctuate seasonally and according to Wind Tides. Large boats may not have access to Lake Winnipeg during certain times of the year as the cannel may not accommodate the depth required.
Please note pets are typically welcome, however please inquire prior to booking. Unfortunately cats are not permitted. Dogs must be on a leash when outdoors at all time, pet owners must clean up all pet excrements and dispose, any damage from pets will be charged- no exceptions.
