Casa Itram – Fantastic house in Girona City
The property is divided into two houses and is shared with the owners’ family and a dog, who are very respectful of their guests’ privacy. Each house has its own private area although the outside spaces are shared: barbecue, garden and pool.
Parking is available close by, outside the house and is free of charge.
Entrance to the property is through a glass door (for people, not vehicles) located in a quiet street with little traffic. You go up some stairs to find a small charming courtyard. You go into the house through a wooden door which leads to a hall, with plenty of natural light coming in through the large glass window along the front, with views of the lounge and the outside area. All the other rooms of the house lead off from this space.
The house inside is arranged over two floors connected by a staircase.
This floor is full of natural light as most of the rooms have large floor-to-ceiling glass windows looking outside. The central point is the main lounge-dining room with a decorative fireplace which has direct access to the terrace/porch and the garden, through the large glass sliding doors. When open, these let the sunshine and cool air pass through during the summer months, creating a single indoor/outdoor living space. From here you go to a second lounge-dining room which connects with the “open concept” kitchen through a serving hatch located in the cupboard which separates the two rooms. Very well-equipped kitchen with sliding doors leading to the side terrace.
In the sleeping area, there is an ensuite master bedroom with a double bed, sliding doors leading to the side terrace, a small desk and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower which is well integrated between the main wardrobes. There is also a second double bedroom with two single beds and sliding doors leading to the terrace and another full bathroom with walk-in shower.
All the bedrooms, both on the first floor and the ground floor, receive hot/cold air through vents which are well-integrated into the beautiful design and decoration with its special attention to detail, and wooden beams which are rustic-style but modern.
You reach the ground floor going down some stairs. There is a family bedroom with a double bed and a second space inside with a door which can be closed where there is a single bed and desk. Another double bedroom with two single beds. Full bathroom with walk-in shower. And a laundry room with sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, and indoor clothes line.
The outdoor porch/terrace of the house is on an elevated part of the property, which means it is well-secluded from the other houses in the area, has lots of sunlight, peace and quiet and beautiful views. This area is next to the owners’ house but each has its own separate area of covered porch with beams, relaxation area with sofas, armchairs, round outdoor table and chairs. The garden area and pool are shared, but the owners are very respectful of the guests. The pool is surrounded by wooden decking and there are sun loungers. At the bottom of the garden there is a third covered area with a long wooden table, built-in barbecues and a cooking area with a small sink.
