Host cancelled

Host cancelled on Friday evening- we were booked from the Sunday. VRBO helpfully suggested alternative and said our money would be refunded for this booking. So far they have not honoured this, claiming the host is responsible. The host is unresponsive, twice given excuses to VRBO- just up, couldn’t access their computer but would resolve this within 24hrs (lied). 2nd attempt- told that the property managers were going into a meeting but would get back within a couple of hours… VRBO guarantee isn’t being honoured. I doubt they’ll publish this.

Misleading and underwhelming

Misleading listing and hosts were unprepared. Advertised free parking was half mile away and inconvenient as I was traveling with a baby. 2 bathrooms were not full bathrooms, only one toilet for 4 adults to share. Cobwebs, broken fridge shelves, kitchen drawers held together with scotch tape, etc. I had to go offsite to pick up keys. I got no instructions or information when we arrived, including how to turn on the boiler (or where the boiler was even located) for the first 2 days. Property manager and owner didn’t respond to my messages (text and through the Vrbo app) for the last 2 days of my trip. Location of the property was the only saving grace to this booking.
