We had a fabulous 2 bedroom apartment with views to the beach and over the pool. A home away from home . Everything we needed was there . Close proximity to the tram at the Cypress st Station restaurants and shops. Very comfortable beds. Only thing I think could be improved is the cleanliness of the apartment Dust on skirting boards and edges of room . and behind bedside tables. Looks like nothing has been moved in order to clean properly for a little while. Shower screens not that clean .

I loved the pool area and didn't mind the construction. Large apartment for 1 brm but only very basic of cooking utensils.I found the food outlet unfriendly being cash only and did ignore you.

Expedia need to update the peoperty details as it said there was a bar and restaurant at the property and there wasnt apparently hasnt been for quite awhile. We may have looked for alternative accommodation

We just came back from a fabulous stay here. We stayed in the 3-Bedroom Apartment with both beach and city views and the size of the apartment was fantastic. Beds were super comfortable and the apartment was well equipped. The outdoor is great but a bit cold in the water unless the sun is shining. Kids had a blast in the kids pool. Only issues were that the outdoor spa was tepid at best for our stay and the indoor spa was not clean on some days. The property is tired looking but the staff are amazing and it was super comfortable and homely. We loved our stay and will be back!

We first arrived and we got a not very nice room. Curtains hanging off the runners not very clean rooms. We were told a week before arriving that there is construction next door but we would be put on the quiet side of the hotel, guess what we were put on the same side as the construction. Couldn’t even sit on the balcony. But I went to reception only to be told that they can’t move us as all the 3 bedroom apartments are on the construction side of the building. I wrote to the Manager and we were taken to another 3 bedroom apartment on the other side of the building 😀 that was simply amazing. It had beautiful rooms and bathrooms ! So our stay was amazing. Check what your rooms are before you book people. Wotif wasn’t much help either at the time. Said their hands are tied as it’s at the hotels discretion.

Unfortunately this property hasnt had much change since I stayed 13 years ago. Room had water damage that left a moldy foul smell coming from the laundry. Other than that room was okay. Outdoor pool is freezing and heating in the other pools stopped working in the 2nd week. Reception were friendly though Overall property is run down and probably would not return due to these reasons given the price.

I read some more recent reviews before arrival and was second guessing my decision to book Mantra Crown Towers, however I enjoyed my short stay. Yes, this hotel is not new, but they have updated the facilities and room with paint, fixtures and furniture. I thought it was well maintained, especially the outdoor pool area. The staff were friendly and happy to assist. The rooms were very spacious and well equipped for my needs. My only negatives were: 1. I don't know what product the cleaners use in the shower, but I slipped over as I stepped in. The floor was slippery, as was the wall (realised that when I tried to reach out to stop the fall). Maybe the cleaner forgot to go back and wash down the product. 2. During our short stay I never noticed the cafe open. I didn't include breakfast with my package, so this didn't affect me.
