The Inn on the River is centrally located in Glen Rose's historic downtown, so rather than being in a hotel on the noisy Hwy 67, you get a more relaxing stay. The Inn is also a quiet oasis because its property slopes down to the Paluxy river. Its restaurant and bar are another nice feature. If you travel with a pet, then you can find a no more dog-friendly place than The Inn on the River.

Amazing staff and stay! The room was very cute and clean. The location is the best being directly on the river and walking distance to everything in town. The homemade breakfast every morning was amazing. So convenient that there is a restaurant and bar on site that makes great cocktails. Owner and staff were very accommodating to request and needs. Prepare to relax. No TV. No phones. No hair dryers. Dog and cat-friendly to the extreme, which was fine with us. The weather was beautiful, so we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the town pass by, or having our morning coffee on the banks of the Paluxy River, or dining at the Tavern at night. Everyone was friendly. The manager Pam was attentive to our needs and questions. It’s in the heart of old downtown Glen Rose, which was fun to explore. We’ll be back.
