Relaxing hockey weekend

We rented the honeymoon suite because this momma wanted to soak in a hot tub for the weekend. Overall, the room was nice. The pros- It was clean, the tub was amazing and the king size bed was SOOOO comfortable. The cons-tv was hard to operate. You had to hit this button, then do this button and then do that button. The hubby was little annoyed. Next, the fireplace didn't work. The heater was super noisy. The room theme/decor was kind of cheesy. I think it was supposed to give off Island Paradise vibes?? I'm not sure but it made me think that the bed should have had a vibration function, hahaha!!!!

Fantastic stay

Really cool place! Love that there are several restaurants and bars on property. The waterpark looked nice but was so busy that we avoided it. We did go to an event at the Alerus which was super convenient. Also went to the UND hockey games and they have fan busses to drop you off and pick you up after. We had 2 dogs with us and got a suite, which seemed to be quieter than most hotels rooms. Very clean and comfortable room. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here next time we are in Grand Forks!

Everything was ok. Cleanliness was ok. Swimming area was ok. Food options were ok. But the customer service was terrible!! Poor communication, being ignored at front desk and breakfast instead of a simple “hello, we will be right with you, or I am sorry about that, or we are very busy we will seat you in 10 minutes”. Nope just ignored. I’m the morning the front desk was empty, phones ringing, customers waiting and none to help. Terrible experience! Will stay somewhere else next time and just pay to come swim. Very disappointing!

The rooms are very noisy! You can hear every conversation that’s up and down the hallway from inside your room. The day we left, you had to hold your breath from the strong smell of sewer gas while walking down our hallway to our room.

One elevator was broken so it would take 20 minutes to get to your room, it was awful. Kids loved the waterpark! Water was a little cold but overall very enjoyable. Rooms definitely need to be updated.

This was a terrible experience. First the one of two elevators were broken leaving 15-20 minute wait time each time for the elevator. We waited 30 minutes on check out date. The TVs didn’t work and had to be reset by maintenance and doesn’t work when the weather conditions are cloudy due to Direct TV, after the reset, the TV didn’t work an hour later for the night. It’s also a tv where you can’t rent movies, only watch what’s on cable or satellite. We went to the waterpark was in pretty sure was oversold. There was no place to put our towels and bag as all the tables were taken. There were way to many adults and children in the pool and long wait times for the water slide. We couldn’t get into the hottub because there were to many people in there. Lastly, children constantly running up and down the hallways knocking on doors was inconvenient but at least they stopped at 10am until 6:30am. Front desk didn’t offer a discount since I booked through Expedia and only offered free wrist bands for next time, which there won’t be a next time. Not worth the trip from Canada.

Toilet kept running then took and hour to work on door lock and still wasn’t fixed and I had two kids so had to get a room change. Then it was loud kids running until after 11pm. Hair in shower. No bags to put dirty clothes in. Only 1 small tiny bottle shampoo and conditioner that didn’t even cover everyone staying in room.
