Easy Access to Airport in Comfortable Hotel

Perfect overnight location; needed close access to airport with reliable shuttle service to airport very early next morning. Will stay again.

It was cold outside, but I wiukd expect that a hotel in that area would be constructed to function well under those conditions. The meeting room was cold. The halls were cold, my colleagues rooms were cold and the coils were frozen. The elevator was out. Staff was respectful. I think that more thought. An effort should be placed on the physical plant and keeping hotel guests comfortable.

This was our second stay as we used the airport shuttle. Shuttle driver did not wait 5 minutes for us instead he drove back to the hotel and made us wait 25 minutes outdoors when it was 14 degrees out. Room #109 was excellent when we left for Bahamas vacation and great shuttle service. Arrived back room #113 horrible. Phone didn’t work, no hand lotion and desk manager offered us a blanket because the heat might not be working! it did work. Good grief how can it be that bad a week later?

The night desk lady promised us that coffee would be available a 4 AM. We had an early flight. When it was not there, she blamed the shuttle driver. I asked him on the way the airport. He called her to say he could not do it due to a busy schedule. She continued to chat with an associated after I asked several times. Just did not want to bother. My wife and I were very displeased and disappointed with the lack of concern. Poor customer service from the desk. We were very happy with the shuttle service.

Used to be a great hotel

This used to be a great hotel back in the day, but you can really see the decline. Check in was fine. The carpets in the hallway looked really old and somewhat dirty, but it’s winter. Got to the room, bathroom light was flickering but still went on. The next day, the bathroom light stopped working. Went to call the front desk to find that the phone, though plugged in, was old and not working. Walked to the front desk at 2:00 pm and asked someone to fix the light, was told it would be fixed. Got back at 9:00 pm and it wasn’t fixed. Walked back to the front desk and said that the light still wasn’t working. The lady at the desk said, “well, do you want someone to come and fix it???” Ummmm…yeah, that’s why I walked down there! Had a guy come to the door about ten minutes later, and he looked like he was from two rooms over rather than a representative of the hotel. The pool was dirty and the hot tub was surrounded by what looked like crime scene tape. You could hear people in the hallway like they were in the room with you. No in room fridge. This used to be a great hotel but it appears that it’s on the downward slope of the hill towards becoming another run down relic. Honestly? It could be a great hotel again but it appears that the people running it don’t really care anymore. Good things? Comfy bed, restaurant on site, parking lot was well lit, water pressure was great, bigger room than expected.

The property needs updating bath soap dispenser not functional and I had a room with the door lock broken and another room with the main light broken. I paid for day I could not use the room checked out early but was still charged for extra day

Front desk staff was abrupt & rude. The closest elevator was broken and we had to navigate a long distance to get to an elevator to go to and from our rooms. The hotel wheelchair was defective & hazardous. The breakfast was exceptional and the staff were attentive and friendly - we enjoyed the breakfast employees & the breakfast dining atmosphere. Proximity to the airport was a plus, the shuttle driver was charming.

Impressed

Check in was quick and my niece enjoyed the free chocolate chip cookie. The room was clean and spacious. The refrigerator was cold and the bed was comfortable. There were no trash bags in the garbage bins and not enough towels for 4 people, but all we had to do was ask. Overall it was very pleasant and we will stay again.

The ac/heater in the room was very loud. It was a cold night and every time it kicked in, the decibel level jumped way up. It was very annoying. Also, at this point I have been spoiled by rooms with a small fridge and microwave and found the lack of these small amenities really annoying.
