The scenic 90-minute drive from the cities is perfect for the "home away from home" getaway you're looking for. Whispering Pines Cabin is a cozy, quiet and private place to relax and enjoy with friends & family of all ages. Being nestled in the trees and right on the water, it's sure to provide you with the "up north" feeling you need. Want to get out and enjoy the relaxing 500 acres of river-fed Trade Lake? Hop in the canoe, kayak, or paddleboard that we have available. Maybe a boat cruise or a day of fishing is more your style? Launch your own at the public access just around the corner and tie up to the dock, or contact us about a pontoon rental. Jump in for a swim, or just enjoy the views while reading a book in the screened-in porch or sunbathing on the deck. The kids will love the swing set and scavenger hunts in the woods surrounding the house. When the sun goes down, snuggling up, telling stories and roasting marshmallows by the campfire will surely create memories that will last a lifetime.

You could spend your vacation days with no agenda, or pack it with activities any time of year. The fall colors open lots of opportunities for exploring nature or crafts with the little ones. During the winter months the swans come through in flocks, swimming up and down the river showing off for your entertainment. Bring your snowmobiles and catch a ride on nearby trails, then head back for a fire and a warm drink.
