The Space:

The sun spills over the Appalachian foothills as you step onto the wrap‑around deck, and the scent of pine mingles with fresh river air. Hummingbirds flit near the railing while the Cacapon River glints just a minute away, inviting you to pause and breathe. At night the sky opens to a crystal‑clear Milky Way, turning the mountains themselves into a living backdrop for your stay. Here, nature becomes the luxury you unwind in.



Sleeping arrangements

Primary King Suite – a king bed paired with a custom oversized twin Book Nook for extra guests, his‑and‑hers sinks, a stone walk‑in shower, a private deck, and an in‑suite washer/dryer.

King Guest Bedroom – plush king bed with a large closet and a full bathroom just outside the door.

Lower Level – two queen beds, an ensuite bathroom with a walk‑in shower, and direct walk‑out access to the yard and fire pit.



Living spaces

The open‑concept living room frames panoramic mountain views through huge windows, offering cozy seating, board games, a guitar, a Smart TV, and fast fiber WiFi. A dedicated work desk in the king suite provides a quiet spot for remote tasks. Central heating and air keep the interior comfortable year‑round.



Kitchen & dining

A chef‑ready kitchen features a large stove/oven, full‑size fridge, dishwasher, and a coffee station stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, syrups, spices and cooking oil. All essential cookware is provided, and the island offers bar‑stool seating. The main dining table seats the whole group, while indoor and outdoor dish sets are kid‑friendly.



Outdoor living

Step onto the expansive deck to soak in the hot tub while the mountains stretch before you. An outdoor sectional and large dining table create space for meals under the sky, and a nearby gazebo nestles in the woods for quiet moments. The fire pit is perfect for roasting s’mores, and private river access lets you fish, kayak, tube, or swim in seconds. Trails wind through the nine‑acre property, inviting hikes that reveal ever‑changing vistas.



Neighborhood

Located in Great Cacapon’s Cacapon Valley, the retreat is a short drive to Berkeley Springs (20‑25 minutes), where historic hot springs, art galleries, farmer’s markets and acclaimed restaurants await. The Cacapon River offers private “beach” access for families, while the Paw Paw Tunnel and Cacapon Resort State Park (50 minutes) provide additional outdoor adventures, from biking to snow sports.

Other Things to Note:

For your safety, we have installed a Ring camera by the front door. There are no cameras inside the cabin.

This chalet offers its guests a hot tub, barbecue grills, and a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.
