The 15 mile stretch of a glorious, sandy beach with pier, entertainment, Sea Life Centre, bowling, amusements, donkey rides, bouncy castles, model village, fun fair for both small children and adrenaline rides, crazy golf, water park, restaurants and cafés. Deck chairs are available for hire and boat trips to visit the seals at Scroby Sands. Central beach hosts fireworks spectacular each Wednesday (weather permitting) during the summer season. The town centre has a shopping mall and market square; a great place for seeking fresh fish, sea food and fruit, along with supermarkets and a train station close by. Nearby is the stadium for grey hound racing, stock car racing and horse racing course. The famous Norfolk Broads is just 13 miles away, a National Park with over 125 miles of waterways. There are daily river and boat trips, and riverside eateries. The city of Norwich is an excellent shopping area, with two indoor malls, a market square, cathedral, castle museum, theatre, cafés and restaurants. Thrigby Wildlife Centre, Pleasurewood Hills theme park, Somerleyton Hall and Gardens within an hour’s drive. Fishing on beach. Beach 200m. Pubs, shops and restaurants 50-150m.
