The chalet accommodation was the worst we have ever stayed in. So so small and in need of a complete refurb. The carpet looked so gross I wouldn’t put a barefoot on it. My son and his family’s room was so tiny with a double bed, bunk beds and travel cot they could hardly move! Very disappointed!

Always stay hwre on our way down south Very convenient .We always have a room in the annexe so cannt comment on the rooms in the main hotel. The rooms in the annexe are comfy cosy and quiet but very dated decor wise(diesn't bother us but might others). The best thing about the hotel is the food. Its so good the locals come here to eat. Lovely homely menu if you decide to dine in. The breakfast is delicious and waitress service is a rare find nowadays. An added bonus is the hotel's close proximity to Gretna Outlet Centre which is a very short walk away. This hotel is a firm favourite with urselves. We will be back.

BANG BANG BANG

Cons: Décor, cleanliness, wall insulation. Insulation to keep noise from rooms from floor below.
Loud, very loud. No peace in this hotel. I was above the kitchen, lot of loud banging until close to midnight. Again at 2-3 in the morning. Through clean would not go amiss either. Left a lot more tired than I was when I got there. Never again.
