Accommodation description:
This old farmhouse from the year 1800 stands in the middle of the village, on the Dorfplatz, and was completely and very high-quality renovated in 2024, respecting the authentic atmosphere and equipped with all modern comforts. The result is truly magnificent! The exclusive alpine décor, finished with lots of wood and natural materials, gives this house the warm feel of a real Austrian chalet
Large windows let the light flow in abundantly and offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and village life. The wide window sills invite you to enjoy the after-sun with a Glühwijntje. After an active day in the mountains, relax in the private Finnish sauna - undoubtedly one of this house's favourite spots. And all this in the middle of the village, within walking distance of excellent Austrian restaurants and other amenities. You can leave the car at home. The ski bus stops in front of the door, although you can get to the ski lift within ten minutes. The owner can offer you the option of using breakfast or half-board at the opposite restaurant.
The location is truly unique. Here you will find a combination of unspoilt countryside with the village character of Großarl and the atmosphere of a modern winter sports area with a snow-sure ski resort. With 70 km of slopes and 17 ski lifts, the Großarltal - Dorfgastein ski area has nothing to be ashamed of. Großarltal is a member of Ski Amade: Austria's largest ski area with a total of 760 kilometres of slopes and 270 lifts. In ten minutes you can drive to Alpendorf, St.Johann where the ski lift takes you to the ski area of Flachau.
The idyllic mountain village attracts many nature lovers with its lush alpine meadows and majestic peaks. With an extensive network of cycling and hiking trails, it is suitable for both beginners and experienced adventurers all year round
