I stayed 2 nights and enjoyed my stay. The staff is friendly and accomodating. Perfect location since everything is walking distance, wifi was good, very clean and quiet atleast for me. I understand is a very old building so a bit of humidity smell, l guess is because of the wood beams on the ceiling but nothing out of the ordinary. I will give it a 9 because of the staff, cleanliness, location and specially the affordable price. Will recommend it.

We arrived unexpectedly a day earlier than our scheduled reservation at Hotel Mesón del Rosario. The staff on duty, Martha, was very helpful by accommodating us. This gem of an historic Hotel built in 1749 is so charming, clean, the rooms are very nice and the staff & management couldn't have been nicer. The Hotel is located in the Central District near many shops, restaurants and activities. It's approximately a 5 minute walk to the lovely El Jardín de la Unión, the main central park that's always lively. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Very basic hotel, well located, used it for one night as road blockages affected our plans, its location is good, near to everything. Only issue was the low water pressure on the shower.

The location is great once you get there. Anywhere in the Centro will be a challenge to get to and there is almost no space to stop and unload near the entrance. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. No AC but the rooms had electric fans which was enough in the evening with a window open. There was noise from a nearby band playing when we went to bed but they stopped by 10pm and it was a quiet area the rest of the night. We had two rooms and in one the bathroom was extremely small, with the shower spraying onto the sink area and even close to an outlet. Parking was the biggest disapointment. The Expedia listed said they had parking available for 250 mx pesos. We finally drove to the lot they told us to go to and not only was it very far away, but they told us they did not have an agreement with our hotel and that it would cost 350 mx pesos. It was so far away we did not want to walk with suitcases all the way across town the next morning and driving to pick up our bags would be a long, complicated route. So instead we paid more for a closer public lot.

This is a perfect centrally located hotel! You can’t beat it’s position. It’s clean, it’s very beautiful, it’s what you would expect when staying in Guanajuato. With that being said, our bed was very small, I think it was a full, and very hard. I would’ve also liked better pillows. They were hard too. Also, it had very bad lighting, which makes it hard when applying your makeup. I would definitely stay here again though.
