Family Friendly Home in walking district, 5 minutes from beach

SPECIAL SNOWBIRD SHORT TERM LEASES AVAILABLE. Relax with the whole group at this peaceful home in central Gulf Shores. You’ll be in the quiet, older neighborhood in town that’s in the soon to be made entertainment district. A few blocks from Meyer Park where there are basketball courts and soccer/football intramural sports during the week, and a ten minute walk from Big Beach Brewery and a few restaurants and a cool coffee shop. 7 minute drive to the nearest public beach access and The Hangout.

Spaces:

Master bedroom has its own bath and closet. Guest bedroom one on the corner has a queen bed and closet. Guest room three has the same. There’s a full bathroom across the hall from bedroom three.

The living space and kitchen are open. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and there’s a large farmhouse dinner table for the whole group.

Animals are allowed depending on breed. 30$/night for 1 pet, additional $20/night for more than one pet. Please consult me.

If you’re interested in renting long term in the winter months (snowbirds or otherwise) please contact me about discounted rates.

Neighborhood:

This is the old neighborhood of Gulf Shores where front porches face the streets and everyone walks and bikes around. It’s a quiet area away from the rush of HWY 59 and the beach road traffic. There’s an easy access road through the state park to get to the beaches that doesn’t require you getting into the heavy traffic and condo areas of that part of town. Just ask me!

There’s a great park in the neighborhood and amenities within walking distance. Let me know any questions about what’s close or check my guide book. Seven minute drive to the beach and less than that to the Gulf State Park.

Loads of bike trails in the state park and around town. You could spend a whole day exploring Gulf Shores by bike and stop at any number of places for a bite to eat or a beverage. There are plenty of bike rental places around town.

Public boat launch less than 5 minutes away and there’s room for a boat to be parked in the driveway.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Strip all bed linens (minus the comforters). Extras can go on the washroom floor if your load is too big for them all to fit. Used towels/rags/dog blanket can go there too. Please start the load.
All trash goes to large dumpster. If you’re facing the street from the driveway, it’s to the left behind the wooden fence. Please clean any excessive messes—it’s only me cleaning. Check out 10 am.
Turn the air up to 74 (summer time) or heat down to 64 (winter). If you’d like to stay again, please reach out and we can try to set up a repeat customer discount (dependent on various factors).
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

Please do not unplug or power off either of the internet routers in the house. One is in the master and the other in the bedroom across the hall.
Please clean sand from yourself and your family with the hose outside. It makes a huge difference in cleaning the house and the plumbing’s health.
Please only allow animals on the pet blanket on the couch. Animal fur is very difficult to remove from couch cushions, beds, and chairs.
