Disliked: Cleanliness
As a disclaimer -- I've never written anything other than a glowing review in my life and I hesitate to do so now in fear of some sort of VRBO rating punishment but I guess this is valuble information for other families. Trying to be objective I'll say that overall, we had a fine stay, we were with 6 kids under 5 and 6 adults. The proximity and access to the beach is really the selling point here, we enjoyed that a great deal.We struggled with a few maintenance and cleanliness issues that the property management wouldn't rectify. Despite a number of discussions with myself directly or other members of our party, they didn't really believe that we never had hot water and that the tank was consistently alarming when in use by a single source. We sent them a video and continuously contacted them regarding the issue but were told it was working properly when clearly it wasn't. We had 6 kids who couldn't take a warm bath so that was a little dicey but again, not something we would let ruin our vacation. The house has a great layout but is showing wear throughout. The outdoor kitchen was unusable and the second king bedroom cited in the description was never found. There's a bunk / living room that could be counted as one but again, no king bed that we were aware of. The bedding was worn and dusty, created an allergy / respiratory issue for two of our guests but that's not uncommon for vacation rentals so again, we just shrugged it off and tried to enjoy ourselves.
