Staff was super friendly. Room was clean and decor was nice. Bed was super comfortable. The only issue was the lack of a window and the incessant knocking, which sounded like a constant tap and never stopped all night. Not sure if there’s a plumbing issue or something going on, but it was definitely annoying.

Left the room early in the morning and returned around 5 p.m. The room had not been cleaned and there were no fresh towels. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful in getting us fresh towels and cups for the room.

Gulfport weekend

Air conditioner could use a cleaning in room 12 I'm assuming that's why it couldn't keep up with the heat outside during our stay. Wifi was very weak as well. Maybe it's because of the building. Otherwise, everything else was great. Staff was very friendly, the bed was comfy, room was very clean, towels were high quality. Great location near a bunch of nice eateries.

Front desk “thought we weren’t here” and decided to come in our room and supposedly look for a charger a previous guest left in the room. Totally not cool. We have been checked in for 22 hours and easy for OUR stuff to come up missing. We even had our do not disturb tag on the door. Also, you hear all the hallway noise from inside your room. Decently nice looking place but not if you want PEACE and QUIET.

Be prepared to pay for everything.

Check-in was difficult and different payments were coming off my card that wasn't authorized, and we tried to have the issue rectify but it kept happening. That issue dampen our stay, so this might be our last time staying at the Vela Hotel.
