Good but could be better

The room did not appear to have been cleaned. There was hair on towels, one had lipstick on it and one had a hole. Some guests were rowdy, including knocking on walls and slamming the door, woke me up at 2 and 3 am. Only the last receptionist at check out, was kind and helpful.

This hotel has, without a doubt, the best service I experienced during a three week trip in Korea, sometimes staying at four and five star hotels. The accommodations were fantastic, the breakfast was good, the dining options were really good, the chef is excellent. But the main thing is the service. This staff is fantastic. They even showed me how to use the washing machine that was all Korean language. They went out of their way. I only wish that this were on my regular route of travel so that I could stay there again and again and again.

During a three week, 10 hotel stay, the Gumosan Hotel was my favorite. Sure, the 5 stars were fancier, but too often the 5 stars know they are and don’t try, at the Gumosan Hotel they went out of their way to help, with a room change and how to use the laundry (no English on machines). The food was great, it was the best coffee of any hotel, the gym was great and the sauna was excellent! This hotel is a gem and I only hope I can go back someday.

Worst hotel ever.

Terrible service. Booked for two adults and room only had 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel. Front desk told us housekeeping was unavailable til next morning. Bathroom water leaked all over the floor.

I was traveling for business. Hotel Geumosan is slightly isolated near a lake and national park, but offers a welcome reprieve and excellent area for walking. Restaurants are within walking distance as well.
