Perfect location!
Log home, on the northern end of The Great Sacandaga Lake. Perfect combination of tranquility/seclusion with access to Saratoga Springs only 20 miles away. The 172 feet of lakefront is nestled into a calm and quiet (but not stagnant) cove that is utilized only by residents of the cove. The 3 Bedrooms are set up like suites (perfect to hold a full family), each with their own bathroom (each bedroom has a full or queen platform bed PLUS a twin over full bunk bed). There is an additional full bathroom in the unfinished basement. The sunroom also serves as a potential additional bedroom and also has a brand new daybed with trundle pull out. Each room has a Flatscreen TV and the home is equipped with Time Warner Internet. Verizon Wireless service exists within the immediate area of the house. Conveniences include a washer and dryer on the main floor. There is NO smoking permitted inside of the home. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets of any kind due to homeowner allergies.
We just added central air conditioning and a brand new deck off the sunroom.

Peaceful lake retreat

This property was perfect! Beautiful and well maintained. Spotlessly clean! Be aware of a couple things, the walk between the house and lake is a descent hill, I was definitely in better shape by the end of the week but would be hard for older people. Also the cell booster wasn’t working so when we got there I didn’t have service to access my account on VRBO to get the check in information, make sure you have that information accessible before arrival and the Wi-Fi network name was not accurate in the information provided. Overall everything was great though, just a little blip with checking in! Such a relaxing spot on the lake, the peddle kayak was really cool to have and goes really fast. We really enjoyed our trip!

Peace and quiet in a lovely setting!

I returned to the Great Sacandaga after a hiatus of nearly 25 years. This time brought my kids and grandchildren. The log cabin was a relaxing and wonderful place to stay. It is situated on a little cove which protected us from the wind and choppy waters on the lake. The dock availability was perfect! The house had plenty of room for all to enjoy. If you choose to stay here, bring your own towels! The propane grill is a flat top griddle as the regular part is rusty and falling apart and not useable. Despite some minor flaws, we would stay here again!

Great trip again

This is our 2nd year at this rental and it was a great week. The house comfortably fits all of us and the lake/dock area is an awesome place to hang out all day. John is a great host and is easy to get a hold of and keeps you updated.

This lake house is now our summer getaway!

This is our third year staying at this lake house. We love it! It’s clean, the dock and lake are awesome and it’s so peaceful! It’s very relaxing, I highly recommend staying here!

My wife and I have a cabin 2 miles from this place and we had three of our grown children and their families visit at the same time. Since our place is too small to accommodate this group, I looked for lodging close by. John's log cabin worked out fantastic and ALL had a wonderful time fishing, swimming, and boating from the dock, and sitting by the fire lakeside in the evenings. They also enjoyed the view from the front porch and the overall ambience of the place. Thank you.

Best place ever!

Excellent location, very relaxing stay.

This the second year we've stayed at this property during the summer, and it's a wonderful place to vacation! The location is remote, but only half an hour from Lake George. I highly recommend staying at this lake house.

Great family vacation

This was our first time staying at the house and it exceeded our expectations. The house was gorgeous and there was plenty of space for our large family of 12. The kids absolutely loved the bunk beds downstairs and the adults were all able to have their own rooms at night. We loved spending time on the large dock that sat in a nice quiet part of the lake that was just a short walk across the street. John was great to work with! He kept us updated with a hot water repair that were needed prior to our stay and was ready with a backup plan if the repairs weren’t completed by the time we got there (they were!). He was quick with responding to any questions that we had and helped coordinate a location for us to launch our jet skis nearby. We spent our entire week down by the water and enjoyed the large fire pit area at night. We lost power one night and were thankful for the backup generator which kicked in automatically. We have already started to discuss planning another family vacation here for next summer!

Family vacay

Perfect home for a family reunion of 12 people. Short walk to large dock on a lovely, quiet part of the lake. John the host, was always available to answer questions and we were thankful for the backup generator which automatically took over when a storm knocked out the electricity, allowing the fun to continue. Would love to go again!

Beautiful!!

The place is gorgeous. Unobstructed view of the water from the many large windows in the front of house. So big, yet such a cozy feel. John responded immediately for any questions I had. I rented with a couple of friends fto go to 2 concerts nearby. I'm definately going to renting it again with my family just to stay at the property and enjoy the peaceful home, the lake, boats and firepit. So much to do and so comfy,. Highly recommended! Great 2nd Stay

This was our second stay here and it worked out great. Lot's of beds, great cabin feel, it was clean and didn't have any issues. The lake is beautiful and it's fairly close to a couple towns if you need to grab anything. Definitely recommended.

Great cabin with a nice lakefront area

We had a great stay at this cabin. It is well kept and very comfortable with A/C. Close enough for nice day trips to Saratoga Springs and Lake George. We brought our own kayaks, swam, used the fire pit and had nice family game nights around the large dining room table. We would gladly stay here again. The owner John was easy to reach with any questions or concerns that we had.
