Overall very good experience!

Amazing experience at Cameo! The room was very clean and came with everything you would need for a longer stay (we were only there a night). Everything was contactless and they send you codes for your room and the front entrance during your check in. Many food options and lots of night life around. Your reservation gets you access to a few different patios and vIP access. You also have access to wifi and the hotels Netflix! Bed was very comfy aswell. My only complaint would be that because you’re so close to the bars/clubs you can hear the loud music in your room, so the sound proofing isn’t really the best, but they do provide ear plugs on your bedside table. Overall very good experience!

The only concern I have is the shower floor. Even though a bathmat was furnished it was still so slippery and if you are not paying attention and just walk right in you could easily slip

Here's the good: The location to the waterfront is great, about a 10 to 15-minute walk. The suite was very clean. The self-check-in was convenient. Here is the bad: Pretty sure the queen bed isn't a real queen, it was very small. There is no parking. Here is the worst: It is extremely noisy! Not sure how it is for the 3rd floor and below, but our suite was on the 4th, directly across from the rooftop bar that Cameo partners with. And when I say right across, I mean I could look out our living room window and virtually lip-read the conversations happening out there. And it would have to be lip-reading, as the music is blaring far too loud for anyone to actually hear anything....till 2:30 in the morning. Along with the noisy neighbours outside the building, you'll enjoy the noisy ones in the building too with the thin walls and ceiling. All in all, if you're in Halifax to take in the nightlife and want to be in the action or can sleep through a full-blown concert less than 10 feet from you, it's perfect. If you are a light sleeper or have children with you, you may want to consider elsewhere.

Our stay was great. The suite was like a modern apartment. Clean, roomy, and fully equipped. Location is very convenient. Self check in system was simple and smooth with advanced emails and text reminders. Our suite had no outside view. No biggie for us as we just needed a nice, clean, cool, and cost effective place to stay for a night.

Its roomy and tastefully decorated, clean and perfect location to see the sites of halifax. The pier, shopping and public gardens all walkable from the hotel and lots of great placea to eat. The street can be loud but settles down i. The later evening and i had no trouble sleepong.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à votre hôtel. L'emplacement est idéal pour profiter de tous les attraits d'Halifax. Facile d'accès, bien équipé et très propre. Point négatif :.Manque d'insonorisation. Nous avons séjourné un lundi et mardi. Pas trop festif pour cette periode de la semaine. Nous avons mis l'air climatisé et le ventilateur pour couvrir le son de l'exterieur et tout était parfait!

we couldnt get in to the main door so had to wait to get someone to let us in. tried a new code and it didnt work so we avoided going out. The room was also extremely noisy well past 1am

Although there were many good things about this stay, we were unable to sleep until 2am due to the noise. We stayed there on a Sunday night and the next door outdoor bar was incredibly loud. The provided ear plugs, AC noise, and a fan could not compensate for how loud it was and the vibrations from the bass. Due to that I would not book this location again.

Extremely loud music beside us until 2am

We stayed at Cameo Hotel from a Friday to Sunday (2 nights in July). Both nights had extremely loud music until 2 am from directly outside our bedroom window. We could look down at a night club on a rooftop patio. My earplugs didn't even prevent to bass from traveling through my body. It was absolutely awful. There is no preparing for the loudness you are about to experience if you stay at this hotel on a weekend. Added to this... the accomodation has some sketchy building workmanship (IE: loose faucets, shower doesn't drain, hard bed, poor lighting mounted on the wall).
