We came to this lovely place to have a comfortable location to relax after spending the day at the farm show complex. Our first impression upon entering was how clean and well decorated the place was. After being there for awhile we started to notice a few things that weren’t quite as well kept as first thought. Light bulbs were blown, one was completely missing downstairs; a few ants in the master bathroom, and the fireplace wasn’t able to stay lit. We contacted the host to advise about the fireplace and were told it had been a problem that they knew about but weren’t sure what was wrong. Hot tub had debris in the bottom (leaves and sticks), the basement bunk bed was very squeaky; so much so that the kids fought over who would have to sleep in it. The living room and a couple dining room chairs were very rickety so we were worried they would break when we sat in them. Finally the dishwasher was a nightmare. It looked as if there had been damage to it since there were dents on the inside of the door and the bottom rack did not pull out without falling into the bottom of the dishwasher. When open, the top dish rack kept sliding out while filling the bottom and the entire dishwasher wasn’t seated in the cabinets very well. All in all, the place was very cozy, and exceptionally clean, and we would stay again, but for the price paid, a bit more attention to regular maintenance should be happening.
