We have stayed at the Moxy NYC and expected the same of this hotel. Although we knew the rooms would be small , ours was even tinier than the Manhattan one which was surprising . There was only a bedside table on one side which was inconvenient. You check in at the bar upon arrival . The rooms were very clean and get refreshed every 2 days. This hotel is quite far up the hill from the main harbour side district so be prepared to walk a distance to any attractions or restaurants . This was especially an issue for us because the hotel would not accommodate my allergy to one food so I could not eat there. It caused quite a bit of extra work in order to get meals. It was very disappointing and unusual for a hotel restaurant to not to be helpful in this way and frankly they need to do better. All in all this hotel was only ok and now knowing the layout of Halifax I would chose a place closer to the action on the boardwalk

Brand new hotel in Halifax. We really liked the 2-bed room setup. It's only a 3-minute walk from Gottingen St with LF Bakery for breakfast and Field Guide for dinner. Also recommend The Independent Mercantile Co.

Moxy is a modern hotel, geared to a younger crowd. The games available in the spacious lobby are a good feature. The gym is well equipped and even has a massage chair which isn’t common for a hotel gym. Overall, a good experience at Moxy Halifax.

The way the property is set up, noise outside the front of the building is amplified. Quite noticeable all hours of the day and night in a room facing this direction

Although this property is outside the touristic seafront, it’s very convenient to go to all directions, including the Halifax Citadel. The southern downtown area, where you find Dalhousie University, the Public Park, etc. is only 15 min away. Great service either at the bar/restaurants. The bedroom is large enough. But the A/C ventilation system would gain to be less noisy.
